"Didn't eat breakfast. The bar area and upstairs restaurant did not look or smell appealing. AC is extremely noisy and the bathroom is too small. The carpet looked dirty and the outdated furniture was near the elevators. I would never recommend this hotel. "

"I recently stayed at Hotel ZaZa Houston Museum District and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel perfectly blends luxury with a unique, artistic vibe that immediately sets it apart from more traditional stays. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you’re surrounded by bold décor and thoughtful design elements that make the space feel both upscale and inviting. It’s clear that a lot of attention has been put into creating a memorable environment. My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom felt like a spa retreat with high-end finishes and a powerful shower. Every detail—from the linens to the amenities—added to the feeling of indulgence and relaxation. One of the highlights of my stay was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, always going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Whether it was check-in, housekeeping, or valet, every interaction was seamless and welcoming. The location is another major plus. Being in the heart of Houston’s Museum District made it incredibly easy to explore nearby attractions, parks, and cultural spots, all within a short distance. "

"The hotel is in a pretty good location but the hotel itself needs some help. You can tell they are in the middle of a renovation. The elevator seems really sus. While we were there, one of the two quick working with a lady stuck for a couple of hours. Our room looked liked it was renovated, but it was very small and tight for 3 people. We did not take part in their breakfast buffet but heard from other guests that it was terrible and not worth the $10 they pre paid for. It did what we needed for our weekend but probably will not choose to stay there again. I will say that their complimentary shuttle driver, David was awesome! He was very kind and drove us to a restaurant and picked us up. He was very courteous and friendly."

"Everything at La Maison was perfect. It is a lovely property, very refined and comfortable. Everything was "just enough". We loved the balcony and the shower. We had a jetted tub (but did not use it). Pillow was a bit too firm, but the bed and linens were comfortable. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, and on a morning we had to leave prior to breakfast, the ladies had prepped a to-go Continental for us. The location is great. Close to downtown but not crazy crowded. The streets were noisy when outside (cars, ambulances), but we did not hear them while in our room. I was pleased to find we were supporting a black-owned, woman-owned, and privately-owned business. I will 100% look to stay here each time we return to Houston."

"Very decent accommodations. I requested a handicapped room and they were going to put us on the third floor. And the elevator was not functioning. That was impossible for my wife and I. We were put in a non-handicapped room that created very uncomfortable situations. I cannot see ever placing mobility handicapped people on anything but the first floor."
