"2 weeks spent in a fabulous villa with great pool in a peaceful rural location- just what we needed. Shops, restaurants, beaches all near by to visit and explore. Nino looked after us and showed us around the Villa and introduced us to some traditional local cuisine. "The house is fantastic, the landlord is a very nice person. He welcomed us the first day together with his wife and kindly explained us all the details of the house and of the pool. We really relaxed for three weeks, never had a problem, just enjoyed the vacation."

"The location was spectacular. As pictured, the apartment is just steps from the water. Listening to the waves crash outside our bedroom window allowed me to have the best sleep I've had in ages. "My husband and I spend 2-4 weeks each June in Sicily. This year we opted for the Southern side. The property is lovely. Very quiet and has fantastic pool for those hot afternoons. The house is well appointed so we felt right at home. "We had very bad luck with the weather (May) and arrived with rain at the house. Luckily, Stefano welcomed us very kindly at a late hour and even bought us some basic food for the night. The terrain is a top location, three or four holiday houses on the same hill but with enough privacy and a beautiful view on the ocean. "It’s hard to accurately describe how wonderful Livia’s Villa is, so I’ll offer this comment from a friend who arrived first: “It’s like stepping into a dream.” 15 of us traveled from the US and a few points in Amsterdam to celebrate my husband’s birthday. No one wanted to leave.The property is gorgeous, Livia is an exceptional host, the town and many amenities are close by, and Nonna Maria’s dinner on the first night was wonderful. We’d absolutely come back and are already planning our trip! "

"Fiorenza was a great host - available when we needed her and was flexible to our arrival and departure times. We really enjoyed the spacious terrace. Immediate locality was quiet in April, which suited us fine. Fiorenza was great at recommending good places to eat and visit."

"This is a beautiful oasis in the countryside, near Selinunte and beaches. It was such a great place to escape the heat, the stress of driving around Sicily using google maps, and traveling in general. Masseria del Carboj has modern amenities, nice aesthetics, a beautiful pool in the middle of vineyard, and feels like you're in Napa valley. The restaurant (Racina) at the hotel is absolutely amazing, like Michelin star level food, so definitely eat here when you stay. "

"We really like hotel - the area is beautiful. The products they offered were amazing. There were a few things I thought were not communicated well. One of the major roads to the property was closed which meant we were driving around in circles. An email warning would have been helpful. We informed Google maps but they should have done that. The other issue with the property is the food. We had the very high end dinner one night and then they advised we need to book lunch, we show up and it's the same menu as the night before. And no-one told us that there was a casual menu at the pool that we could have had. And that menu should have been offered in the restaurant. We found that to be a major negative. I wouldn't want the same food as the night before. "
