Menfi house on the sea

Casa Menfi is a pretty seafront villa, with direct access to the splendid sandy beach of Lido Fiori, located a few km from the characteristic seaside villages of Sciacca and Menfi, on the coast south of Sicily.
The villa, in "total white" style, has 2 spacious double bedrooms, a large bathroom with shower, an equipped kitchen, a large living room with fireplace, a splendid furnished terrace and a romantic patio where you can dine outdoors enjoying the lovely sea view.
Outside, the private access to the sandy beach is undoubtedly the great added value of this splendid seafront villa. The property also offers a large garden with pine forest, an outdoor shower and a private parking area.

Relaxing stay for a family

We had a lovely time at the villa and enjoyed the beach greatly. Antonina kindly provided lots of beach toys for the kids and Signor Livorio stepped in quickly to fix a broken parasol after it blew over in the wind! A wonderful time, I highly recommend.

We loved your villa! I (Jo) couldn’t stop noticing your lovely art spirit The orange cushions that match the orange flowers in the beautiful garden! The art on the walls in the villa! Wonderful host

Antonina was the most wonderful host for our entire stay. She made dinner reservations for us when we were coming from the airport on a Sunday night when only two nearby restaurants were open. She stayed in touch with us via WhatsApp throughout our stay, offering advice for nearby attractions, restaurants, etc. Whatever we needed she made sure she took care of us. Her house is charming and perfectly situated next to the beach. We found one room's mattress to be too hard, and the other too lumpy, but despite that we had a great vacation and recommend her highly!

Relaxing time right next to beach

We very much enjoyed a very relexing vacation time. The house is very nicely located, equipped and maintained, and it was very pleasant to sit outside the house under the trees, that provide shade. The contact with local representative Linda worked nicely and she was easily available via Whatsapp when we had questions. The house is certainly on our list for the next Sicily visit.

Schönes Haus am Meer mit herrlicher Terrasse!

Schönes Haus am Meer. ...und haben es seeeeehr genossen auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und aufs Meer zu blicken, dort zu lesen, zu entspannen...oder den kurzen! Weg durch den Garten zum Strand zu gehen und ins Meer zu springen und zu schwimmen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es gibt Deckenventilatoren und eine Klimaanlage, falls man die Räume abkühlen möchte.Schlüsselübergabe für checkin und checkout war problemlos. Antonina (und Liborio vor Ort) waren jederzeit erreichbar. Wir haben uns dort rundum wohl gefühlt. Für uns war es ein herrlich entspannter Urlaub in diesem Haus am Meer.DANKE, liebe Antonina - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr schöne Lage, Zustand der Einrichtung schlechter als im Inserat

Das Grundstück und den privaten Strandzugang teilt man sich mit zwei anderen Ferienhäusern. Es ist ist mit Bäumen und Sträuchern sehr schön, der Parkplatz ist auf dem Grundstück und der Strand ist sauber. Von der großen Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick aufs Meer, die Überdachung macht die Terrasse bei jedem Wetter benutzbar, die Möbel draussen sind nicht mehr so schön wie auf den Bildern, aber noch in recht gutem Zustand. Innen gute Raumaufteilung, insgesamt schließen wir uns einem Vorrezensent an (Axel, 26.11.2023): das Innere des Hauses ist inzwischen in deutlich schlechterem und geänderten Zustand als auf den Bildern: es erwartet eine lieblos zusammengewürfelte Einrichtung aus wahrscheinlich ausrangierten(?) Stücken u.a. eine völlig durchgesessene Couch, ein zerrissener Vorhang im Wohnzimmer, die Klappe der Geschirrspülmaschine ist immer noch defekt (siehe Bewertung oben), die Essecke in der Küche (Bilder im Inserat) gibt es nicht mehr - man kann nur draussen essen. Leider war das Haus auch nicht gut geputzt. Den Müll muss man per Auto selbst zu einer Sammelstation bringen, die pro Woche nur wenige Stunden geöffnet hat - das kann man anders organisieren. Fazit: tolle Lage, äußerlich schönes Haus, das besser gepflegt und mit neueren, intakten Möbeln eingerichtet werden müsste.

La casa è davvero commoda, la vicinanza con la spiaggia è semplicemente perfetta. Il grande giardino molto uttile. La cucina era completta, tutti gli utensili erano a disposizione. Un ringraziamento speciale a Liborio, per la sua disponibilità e gentilezza. Grazie anche a Antonia per le attenzioni lasciate per i bimbi. Ci ritorneremo.

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand, die Vermieterin begrüsste uns freundlich mit einigen englischen Wörtern und reichlich Spezialitäten aus der Gegend. Leider fanden auf dem Nachbargrundstück lärmintensive Bauarbeiten ab 7 Uhr morgens auch am Wochenende statt. Auch waren Mücken ein Problem die trotz Fliegengittern in das Haus gelangten(es hatte vorher zwei mal geregnet), daraus folgte stundenlange Mückenjagd in der Nacht. Der Backofen war so verschmutzt das er nicht benutzbar war. Die Klappe der Geschirrspülmaschine war defekt und liess sich nicht nur teilweise öffnen sodass die Klappe immer geschlossen (Geruchsbildung). Der November war zeitweise kühl, die Heizung funktionierte nur gelegentlich. Ein Esstisch im Haus war nicht vorhanden, sodass wir warm angezogen auf der eigentlich sehr schönen Veranda frühstücken mussten. Uns erschien es so als ob die Einrichtung teilweise aus ausrangierten Stücken bestand, so gab es z.B. 3 Stereoanlagen, teilweise ohne Netzkabel, das Sofa war durchgesessen. Der Müll musste von uns an 3 Tagen in der Woche zu bestimmten Uhrzeiten zur Entsorgungsstation gefahren werden. Das kann man besser organisieren.

Hidden gem by the sea

Wonderful. This is the perfect place if you want to relax on the beach, explore Western Sicily's archaeological sites and sample excellent local produce (The famous Planeta vineyard and restaurant is only 10 minutes drive away!). The owner is utterly charming and very helpful and has a local team handy if you need any assistance or there are any problems.

heaven on earth

My husband and I stayed at the villa for our honeymoon. It was like heaven on earth. Beautiful villa. Everything we could need. Viviana was so helpful prior to our arrival and we were greeted at the villa by Annalisa who settled is on and made us feel so welcome. Couldn't fault it in anyway!! We will be back next year for our anniversary!!!! Amazing!!!

Abbiamo trascorso due settimane in questa splendida casa, molto comoda perché proprio di fronte ad un bellissimo mare e con una vista spettacolare dalla veranda. La casa è accogliente, arredata con gusto raffinato e curata anche nei dettagli, situata in una posizione ottimale per godere della massima privacy e tranquillità, immersa in un bel giardino sempre curato. La vicinanza al mare permette di godere contemporaneamente sia del mare e della spiaggia, dove si possono fare delle lunghe e spensierate camminate, che della casa. I proprietari sono accoglienti, gentili, simpatici, sempre disponibili e premurosi affinché il cliente possa esere soddisfatto in ogni sua esigenza. Consiglio a chi ha la necessità di staccare la spina e di godere al massimo delle vacanze.

Il vostro posto nel mondo

Il consiglio è di non andarci, perché se ci andate non vorrete mai andarvene. Perché se ci andate vi accorgete di quanto vivete male anche se non lo sapete. La casa è un avamposto nella natura: a pochi metri dalla spiaggia, immersa in una pineta, con un patio esterno che vi permette di scorgere il mare e i tramonti. Seduti lì a far niente, sentirete di avere trovato il vostro posto nel mondo. Silenziosa, indipendente, ma non isolata. Dentro, stanze candide, ampie, arredate in modo sobrio ma ricercato, alle pareti le belle fotografie del figlio dei proprietari. Un luogo dell’anima.

Posizione unica ....casa appena ristrutturata con cura, eleganza impeccabile e attenzione ad ogni più piccolo dettaglio....terrazza che, alla luce delle tante lanterne e candele al tramonto, si affaccia sulla distesa di sabbia dorata e sul meraviglioso mare di Menfi....nessun luogo mia aveva mai dato una simile sensazione di pace ...esperienza stupenda.

Paradisiac at Mare Africano

We enjoyed two wonderful weeks in this very nice little house. Everything is as described in the internet-information. The house is cute and well equipped. Only the kitchen utensil could be completed a little. The garden is broad and natural with trees, bushes, many oleanders and flowers above which is the terrace with a view directly to the turquoise sea. The direct access to the sandy beach is superb. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We can really recommend La casa della zia Maria.

We stayed in la casa della zia Maria for our honeymoon. We had a lovely 10 days, the house was great, with everything we needed, and it was amazing to be only 50 metres or so from the beach! We had a couple of nice meals at Le 4 Stagioni, fresh seafood just a few steps along the beach, and two delicious lunches at Da Vittorio. We enjoyed the local wine, and went for a wine tasting at Planeta in Sambuca di Sicilia, which was fun. We also visited the archaeological site at Selinunte. Mostly we just relaxed back at the house, on the terrace or on the beach, which was very quiet and peaceful. What an amazing place - Grazie mille!!
