The house was historic and interesting, and it was a great size for our family. However, the owner needs to go shopping to provide basics like trash bags, soap, shampoo, etc. in all the rooms; the kitchen needs a complete set of new not terribly used pots and pans; the bedrooms need sets of nice clothes hangers rather than a bunch of old, metal ones. The owner needs to invest more in the property to make it comfortable and up to the standard of VRBO properties.
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historic property. It has everything you need. Entertainment room to play room and 6 spacious bedrooms. We loved it and had a great new year night.
It was a good stay. The properties amenities were great. There was a small issue with the furnace boiler. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend to others!
Our stay at the Bloomfield house was great. We had plenty of room in the 6 bedrooms. The house was nicely appointed we had everything we needed. The only reason for for taking one star off for accuracy of listing is because we were expecting hot tub, like the pictures showed. There was no hot tub. Other than that our stay was great.
Amazing beautiful updated home of a previous century in a serene quiet neighborhood. Colossal rooms with beautiful comfortable furniture, beds to sleep like a king in, updated modern kitchen with all kinds of gadgets and a backyard with pool, hot tub, game room to boot.
This property was a last minute “emergency” as another property became unavailable 3 days before. Turns out, this property was PERFECT! My wife hosted a “sleepover” to celebrate the birthday of a good friend. All of the ladies were throughly impressed, this is a feat considering the age ranges were from early 50’s to over 80.The communication was A!Do not hesitate to book this property. It is well worth it!
My family and I were traveling to Memphis for a vacation. We booked the Bloomfield House because of its location. The neighborhood was very quiet and historic-looking. We were near several museums and places to visit as tourists. Our kids enjoyed the pool and deluxe game room. They were in them every day we were there. The house is very spacious. I didn’t realize that one of the available rooms was in a luxurious suite near the pool. The interior is beautiful. The kitchen has everything you may need for cooking or baking. The owners were very attentive and responded quickly to any questions that we had. We travel every year. This house, by far, is the most beautiful one that we’ve ever stayed in. I would recommend booking the Bloomfield House if you are visiting Memphis, Tennessee.

Wonderful Historic Home — Perfect for a Girls' Getaway!
We had a fantastic stay at this charming, historic home for our mother/daughter girls trip. The space was perfect for our group — we needed six bedrooms and really appreciated the number of bathrooms, which made getting ready each day a breeze. The pool and hot tub were definite highlights, and we spent a lot of time cooking out and enjoying the spacious, safe backyard. It really felt like we were staying somewhere with “Old Money” charm! The location was great, with plenty of parking (we fit four cars comfortably) and close to fun attractions like the Peabody Hotel — we highly recommend watching the duck march! One thing to note for future guests: one of the bedrooms is detached from the main house in a separate suite across the backyard. It wasn’t an issue for us at all, but it’s good to know ahead of time. Also, be sure to bring along some extra supplies like paper towels, trash bags, and sponges. We did experience heavy rain during our stay, which caused a leak in the basement bedroom, making that room unusable. However, the owners were incredibly responsive — they immediately offered to send a plumber, provided an air mattress, and later gave us compensation for the inconvenience. Their helpful and professional attitude made all the difference, and because of that, we would absolutely book again. All in all, this was a wonderful experience, and we made so many special memories here. Highly recommend!
1. Fridge smelling like piss/urine upon arrival
2. No toilet paper or paper towels for us was left
3. 2 doors had no door knobs - safety issue
4. Hot tub cover cut open and hot tub not working
5. Fire place not working
6. Master bedroom missing 2 couch cushions
7. GAS LEAK - there was a gas leak in the basement which had guests staying in it with the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. They then cut the stove off due to the valve that was broken and we could not use the stove the rest of the trip. The owner said he would comp our dinner and I have yet to hear back.
8. The listing is falsely listed as a 3 bedroom 3 bath when in fact there are 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.

Beautiful, but not the cleanest
5 Stars for the host and her communication. We did have issues while staying here (Primary bedroom bathroom lights did not work the entire time we stayed - she sent out an electrician and when they could not fix, sent a lantern to use during our stay. Also sent us donuts for the inconvenience) We were also missing bedding and wash cloths and she made sure we had what we needed by door dashing them to us. 3 Stars for Cleanliness and Maint. (There needs to be a deep cleaning scheduled & maintenance items addressed.) The major item being: hot tub has been removed, no one told us ahead of time, so we didn't know there wouldn't be one. That is a bummer, but the bigger issue is now the deck just has an empty space with exposed plywood that will soon be rotting away due to weather. This is a safety hazard and should be addressed and at a minimum blocked off for guests safety. This place is gorgeous, but is not being cleaned as it should be. If you stay here bring some of your own cleaning supplies just in case you feel you need to wipe surfaces down yourself. We did not have any kitchen towels, dish cloths or sponges. May want to bring those just in case. Not sure if this is typical or was just what happened for our stay. There is a hole in the basement ceiling and a random mattress at the bottom of the stairs, hopefully both of these items are fixed soon too.Pink & blue BRs share a Jack & Jill bathroom & only 1 half bath behind stairs that is not located in a BR
