This apartment is located on Collins Street in the heart of Melbournes CBD. Being right in the centre of the city means you are within walking distance of restaurants, theatres, shopping and transport.
As the apartment is in a heritage building with traditional windows, guests should expect some level of typical city noise. If you are a very light sleeper, this may not be the ideal fit.
Most guests love the vibrant city atmosphere, but we always like to be transparent so you can choose the accommodation that best suits your preferences.
While officially a studio apartment, the queen bed is situated in a separate split-level space, complemented by large block-out blinds ensuring privacy and minimal light interference. The boutique apartment features contemporary furnishings, top-notch appliances, quality linen, towels, and a spacious kitchen with ample storage.
There is also a pull out double bed (from below the raised bedroom) should you need to accommodate a couple of extras.
Car parking is available nearby for a small fee monthly rates are about $16/day.

Merigold 21 on Collins is in the middle of some of the best shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia. Here, you are essentially on the doorstep of Brunetti, Degraves St and the City Library. The tram stops are just 100m away. You can enjoy a walk to some of the best-known sporting venues, markets and arts venues in the country. Everyday shops, services, banks ATMS and all your everyday needs are catered for nearby.
It is only a short walk to Chinatown, and some of the best shopping, theatres, restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia are on your doorstep. Melbourne Central shopping centre, the Bourke Street Mall, Carlton Gardens and Melbourne Museum/IMAX theatre, Crown Casino, the Emporium, Federation Square, and the aquarium are all within easy walking distance.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The trams in the Melbourne CBD are brilliant. The trams are only 100 metres away on Collins St or around the corner on Swanston St or down Degraves St. You can take a very short walk to Flinders St Station as well if you want to go a bit further. Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, its free, and you dont need a Myki card.
GETTING THERE
Its easy to get to Merigold 21 on Collins. From the airport, you can just take a taxi, or you can hop on the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. From there, its a short walk and a free tram ride up Collins St to Swanston St, and Merigold is just across the road from where you get off the tram, and a few steps back to Manchester Lane.
