Had a wonderful 3 night stay in an ensuite room level 3. Staff members were super friendly and helpful. Very handy for public transport and close to some nice cafes and pubs. The building is old with a lot of character ( it’s worth noting that there is no lift and so make sure you pack light if you’re going to be on the 3rd floor. Definitely recommend and will be back 😊

We booked a private room, which was acceptable, but unfortunately the rest of the hostel was terrible. The bathroom was extremely dirty, smelled awful, and had a shocking amount of mould. The kitchen was even worse — we saw cockroaches, which made us feel very uncomfortable using any of the facilities. Overall, it was a horrible stay and the cleanliness standards were far below what we expected. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

You dont get much in your room for things like "amenities" all you have is a kettle and a fridge. Beach is close by and we could have our dogs with us for a reasonable "pet fee" and no bond made it super convenient and affordable to stay!

Within walking distance to St Kilda Beach and just a 20-minute tram ride from the city center, the location is absolutely perfect. It’s surrounded by plenty of cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets, yet the area itself remains quiet and peaceful. The hotel facilities are excellent; the lounge is spacious and relaxing, and the shared kitchen is very well-equipped. My private room was also roomy and comfortable. I was delighted to find that they provided a kettle along with some delicious Melbourne blend tea in the room. The bathroom was spotless, and the overall amenities left nothing to be desired. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind. Even though I’m not very confident in my English, they spoke to me patiently and always greeted me with a smile, which made me feel so welcome. I would definitely love to stay here again when I return to Melbourne!

Clean, pleasant, late night check in assistance, bathroom supplied with shampoo and conditioner, all great. The pre-paid brekky was just a voucher to the cafe next door so i didn’t need to pay more for that.

A nice hostel with a good location in St Kilda. It's a little walk to the beach, and there's plenty of pubs, restaurants and things to do nearby. Good, clean facilities and friendly staff. It can get a little noisy in the evening. This wouldn't normally be an issue for me as it wasn't particularly late, but I was very jet-lagged and going to bed really early so that did keep me awake a little. Overall, a nice place to stay and I would return again.
