We were in town to visit family who live just down the road. The hotel has excellent public transport access (Tram across the road). It was great for our needs. It is perhaps feeling its age a bit - but it was quite good for us. Nearby Albert Park offers a great place to walk. There are a number of reasonable restaurants nearby and the beach front is very close.

Beautiful old hotel with nice restaurants and cafes around. Friendly staff. Loved the open fire in our room. A bit grubby though, hopefully they can sort it out.

Lian was extremely helpful in organising our after hours check-in (calling me and then emailing me details which made it very simple). It's great to walk out in the morning and wander to cafes in either direction. We stayed on a Saturday night but it wasn't noisy. Rooms are very comfortable.

Position was excellent. Room was like a prison cell. Pictures on the web site did not truly represent the property. The glass window was painted to prevent any view to the outside world. On one night of our 3 night stay we were subjected to a strong sewerage stench outside and inside the room. Sad as we would like to return to the area….

Very small room, way overpriced for what you get. Toilet too close to the wall very hard to be comfortable or access the loo paper as it’s hard up against your led. Shower glass door does not prevent water running all over the floor.

Great location. Walking distance to my son's home. Great hairdryer, warm blankets, lots of tea , heated room, nice shutters and blackout blinds. Quiet. Close to tram, coffee shops, grocery store and beach .

Building is old but they have done a great job adding in modern facilities. Staff were amazing and polite. And the ability to order drinks from the bar straight to your room was a godsend being there is only stair access.
