Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and full of charm. Communication with hosts, including directions, was terrific. The location was perfect for exploring both McGregor and the surrounding area. We liked being able to walk to all the shops in town. A bonus was a book on a side table...

「This historic location was an amazing home base for our girl’s trip to NE Iowa. It’s clean and such a unique place to stay. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for the four of us. Our favorite part was people watching from the sun room area, although margaritas on the back patio were a close second. :)」

「Good location, a bit noisier than I expected due to trains during the night and some construction. Close to Yellow River Forest, Effigy Mounds and Pikes Peak State Park. Comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen area includes microwave and small fridge, no sink. Looked like a nice fireplace which I did not use. Shopping, but few restaurants of note on main street; a couple of bars and one gourmet store. Kwik Star right across the street which was convenient. Host was friendly and accessible.」
