「We had a good stay at the Aquastar hotel. However, the water coming out of the tap of the Jacuzzi (the main reason for chosing the hotel) obviously comes out of the sea more or less uncleaned and therefore was brownish and smelled like seaweed making it uncomfortable to use. Also the beach was full of seaweed and smelled accordingly. While the natural phenomenon is of course not the hotel's fault, not cleaning the site (as opposed to other parts of the beautiful beach) is. The hotel and room...

「I have been traveling to Mahahual for solo fishing adventures every year for at least the last 8 years, and I have always stayed at the Cabanas Del Doctor, and I always will! I don't need anything fancy, but for the very reasonable price of a room or cabana here you won't find anything even close to as good. Also, the woman who runs the hotel/cabanas is wonderful, I look forward to seeing her every year. Hope to be back again soon, thank you for everything once again!」

「The staff was absolutely incredible. Very friendly and prepare very delicious meals. Too bad it was rainy so we could not take advantage of the clear waters during our stay. The road to get there was in pretty bad condition, it’s a dirt road with lots of potholes. The surrounding area was dirty as the sea brings back trash so a walk on the beach ended up being a short one after we left the hotel beachfront.」
