「Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. A small fridge would be useful to allow for proper fresh milk and keeping drinks cool. Beds were comfy and the separated bunk...

「The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful」

「Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. 」

「I would like to ask for a full refund really but I know I won't get one. We were left in property on our own and told to lock up when we come and go. The sheets on the beds were dirty. Bathroom dirty. Tea and coffee in the room but no milk. We left at half 4 in the morning with little or no sleep at all. Terrible place 」

「I arrived at this hotel and left within 10 minutes, not a nice hotel the smell is really bad」

「We stayed for six nights, there was some fluff on the floor when we checked in, it was still there when we checked out! One evening, we had a decent lunch so only wanted a snack in the evening. We both had ham sandwiches which while nice ham, no attempt had been made to present them, for example, a salad garnish would have gone a long way. At breakfast the buffet was always running out of teaspoons, mugs for tea/coffee, marmalade, stupid things. One evening I went to use the disabled toilet,...

「Very clean room with plenty of tea making facilities and lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. Helpful full length mirror in bedroom. Some of the communal areas look a bit tired, but staff welcoming and room was great for my needs (staying overnight in area ready for family get together). Great location for Hythe and walk along seafront short drive away.」

「I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. 」

「The staff at this hotel are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. My only criticism of our stay is you now have to pay for parking separately which always used to be included.」
