「We stayed in the Steinbeck room which was a beautiful room. This is the room with the bathroom and shower each located separately in the hallway. For one night it was fine, although a bit awkward. Not sure I would want to stay a week in it, but the price was good and the breakfast was excellent. The area is nice with some good restaurants close by. The stairway is a bit narrow for hauling heavy suitcases/luggage upstairs, but manageable. Would stay again.」

「Beautiful, peaceful location. Amazing monarch butterfly preservation work demonstrated on site. Nice breakfast delivered to room. The suite was clean but shabby chic, historic furnishing. And like many historic inns, sound traveled from next door and upstairs rooms.」
