「What a lovely hotel - couldn't fault it. Had never heard of the brand of hotel before, but all was good. Very quiet hotel so had a peaceful sleep. We eat there too and again, couldn't fault the food or staff - would definitely use this brand of hotel again」

「Whilst I notice other reviewers mention refurbishment, there was not much disruption when I visited (early May 2024) Plus points - Check in was easy and very welcoming. Bedroom was spacious, modern, clean and facilities in room were good. There was a bath and shower over which was nice and although the bathroom definitely did need refurbishment (was dated and showing wear and tear) it was clean, which was the most important thing. The bed was comfortable and I slept well which I don't often...

Everyone in our group was able to enjoy day trips and we were close to the family wedding we attended. The countryside is gorgeous and serene and the nights a quiet. Lovely place. Highly recommend.」

「The Tallow Factory is a wonderful character-filled place for a family or group gathering, in the heart of Dedham Village and the surrounding Dedham Vale. The ground floor has three comfortable entertaining areas, if you include the walled garden along with the wood beamed lounge and large country kitchen. Upstairs easily sleeps 8-10 people. The neighboring Sun Inn serves excellent food. Thoroughly recommend!!」

「Our overall stay was excellent but was initially marred by the incorrect postal code provided and then unhelpful customer service staff who had no idea how to direct us to the property. We arrived in darkness, unable to locate our lodge. Had to ask locals for directions. A poor start!」
