Excellent apartment on the beachfront and direct access to the pool and the beach of La Duquesa in Manilva. It consists of 1 very large double bedroom with direct access to the pool from the terrace, equipped with beautiful furniture, all brand new. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, washing machine, toaster, nespresso machine, laundry room and all the necessary equipment. Full marble bathroom, with hot tub and shower. Magnificent living room with seating area and dining area, large sofa bed, t. v. flat, armchairs, dining table and chairs, being all new furniture, cheerful and casual and of great quality and the most spectacular of all is that from the living room or bedroom we access the terrace and pool that also has garden furniture, Amacas and everything you need for a wonderful stay. It has free wifi in the apartment and in all common areas. Underground and guarded garage included in the price. All the furniture in the apartment is new and freshly painted in November 2016, It is located in a wonderful place, with everything you need, a few meters from all kinds of restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket, pharmacy, next to the marina of La Duquesa, famous for its charm, and on one of the most beautiful beaches from the Costa del Sol. The Marina Real urbanization is top quality, with 24-hour surveillance, security cameras, two swimming pools available all year round and Wi-Fi. The apartment also has air conditioning and heating. An excellent corner of Andalucia that, due to its location, will allow you to visit beautiful villages such as Marbella, Puerto Banús, Estepona, Tarifa for surf lovers just 40 km away, within walking distance of the best golf courses on the Costa del Sol and very near Gibraltar. Puerto de la Duquesa is a beautiful marina located in the municipality of Manilva, halfway between Marbella and Sotogrande. It is the westernmost port of the province of Malaga. With its quiet beaches and pleasant temperature all year round, we are undoubtedly facing one of the best ports on the Costa del Sol. In this maritime town you can enjoy various activities, among others, the culture of other civilizations that inhabited the Malaga coast. You can also taste the most varied gastronomic offer: Italian, Asian, Indian, French, Argentine and of course Mediterranean cuisine. The richness of its cuisine is based on the variety of fish, not forgetting one of the best known dishes in the area: tomato soup. The urbanization in which the apartment is located, is one of the best in Puerto de la Duquesa. It has 2 swimming pools, with direct access to the beach. It is a quiet urbanization, where rest is respected to the fullest, and has top quality materials in the facilities, 24 hour surveillance, 24 hour concierge, gardener, security cameras also in the parking lot and is located next to the Puerto de la Duquesa , on the beachfront and very close to the fishing village Castillo de la Duquesa, where you can taste the best fish on the Costa del Sol. Manilva is the first town in the province of Malaga along the western coast, bordering the province of Cádiz already immersed in the Costa del Sol. The economy of Manilva was based largely on agriculture and fishing, although increasingly in tourism, thanks to its interior landscape which adds, in its closest surroundings, one of the largest concentrations of golf courses in world quality A short walk west of Puerto de la Duquesa is the small fishing village of Castillo de la Duquesa, from which the marina gets its name. The castle built in 1767 can be visited and is often used for local exhibitions. Nearby are Roman ruins without digging. In the village there are a number of bars and restaurants. A short walk to the east is the fishing village of Sabinillas, which is accessed directly by walking along the seafront. Growing virtually from the beaches, in the mountains the famous white villages of Manilva, Casares and Gaucín are all within an hour's drive. Cosmopolitan life is only twenty minutes away from the jet-set city of Marbella, with its shopping experiences ranging from the English Court and the extensive center of La Canada to the endless variety of small shops and boutiques that line the cobblestone Streets of the old town of Marbella. Beautiful villages such as Marbella, Puerto Banús, Estepona, Casares .... until you reach Malaga and on the other side, Cadiz, Gibraltar ... which allows us to access a multitude of cultural and leisure activities of all kinds. In the Marina of La Duquesa there is a wide range of restaurants of almost all types: Mediterranean cuisine, fish and seafood of the highest quality, Asian, Mexican restaurants, Indian cuisine and the best Italian food.
After lunch, there is also an excellent ice cream shop and several places where you can have a drink listening to good music, which is often played live.
Finally, we can enjoy these magnificent beaches; CHULLERA BEACH It refers to a series of four beaches called locally Playa de las Arenas, Cala Sardina, Playa del Negro and Playa de los Toros in a straight and flat part of the coast that totals 10 km, from Punta de la Chullera in the west to La Duchess Marina in the east. The beaches are generally very quiet. The A7 coast road runs parallel to the beach, one block away, and the roads leading to the beach offer a series of access points and parking areas. The beach has an average width of 60m, gently inclined and backed by the heather in some places, with few beach bars with sun loungers, as well as showers and lifeguard points. The beach is so expansive that in the most remote areas of the access points, it is very quiet - even on summer weekends. The beach is cleaned in summer. The flora and fauna of this stretch of coast is protected as an ecological reserve under the 2003/8 law.
PLAYA DEL CASTILLO Playa del Castillo is the name of the ruined fortress in the town. A small but interesting fishing village, called El Castillo de la Duquesa. The castle is used for occasional municipal exhibitions and a couple of adjacent fenced areas partially support the excavated Roman ruins. To the east of Castillo, and surrounded by modern apartment blocks, is the Puerto de la Duquesa marina. The beach runs to the wall of the port. This beach has beach bars with sun loungers, showers and lifeguard points. The closest beach bar to Duquesa is called Chiringuito La Gaviotas. Playa de la Chullera is to the west and Playa del Castillo and Playa de las Gaviotas to the east.
SABINILLAS BEACH Playa Sabinillas is another long straight beach, 2 km long and about 40 m wide, east of Puerto de la Duquesa to the Manilva River. The west end of the beach is also called Playa de la Colonia after the summer school of the same name, it has beach bars with sun loungers, along with showers and watchtowers and lifeguard points. Behind the promenade there are many bars, restaurants, corner shops and kiosks. The beach is frequented by the local residents of Manilva and San Luis de Sabinillas- you will find very few hotels or international tourists in this part of the coast. Sabinillas is the original fishing village for the town of Manilva. This beach is very clean in the summer, and parking is generally available on the village streets. This beach has been awarded a Blue Flag by the European Union for its high level of cleanliness and excellent facilities.
In the summer, at night a market is set up in the Port with a diverse offer of handicraft items, clothing and accessories.

We stayed at Maria’s property for one month. It was just as listed. Very nice. Everything you need. Check in process was easy and very smooth. The area is beautiful . Everything you need is close by. It was great having a garage.
On check in we were impressed with the decor and the clenliness of the apartment. We found the bed and soft furnishings in the lounge to be very comfortable. All electrical items worked as they should, with the only problem being the wifi disappeared for short periods. Regarding the location, it just could not be better being five minutes walk to the port and being on the ground floor access to the pool. To sum up one would find it very difficult to find fault with this holiday home.

Apartment will leave you wishing for nothing & being on the ground floor you are just a few meters from the excellent pool. The port is literally 5 minutes walk away.
An enjoyable stay in a comfortable apartment in an excellent location. Good quality towels and bed linen and plenty of cleaning products supplied. Close to great restaurants serving wide range of cuisine with ten minutes walk to la Duquesa pueblo fishing village or three minutes to the marina restaurants. Any requirements we had were quickly dealt with by Maria. A very enjoyable stay.
We spent 5 nights in Maria's apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We found the apartment clean and tidy and it had all the facilities we needed for our stay.
The bed and furniture were all very comfortable and we were able to find a choice of things to watch on the TV on the odd occasion that we used it. The location of the apartment is fantastic, a 2 minute stroll to the beach and the marina, where there is a good selection of bars and some lovely restaurants. We didn't have a car but there was a key for the underground car park had we decided to hire one.
The staff in the complex were polite and helpful and the communication from Maria was excellent from start to finish. We loved the resort and hope to come back again. If we do return then we will definitely look to book this apartment again.

We just came back from a lovely week, great apartment, safe, perfect neighbourhood to do lots or just relax if you prefer, many nice restaurants and bars locally, fantastic stretch of beaches to walk or chill on. Maria Eugenia is a caring, supportive host, highly recommended
We stayed in Porta de la Quesa for 2 months. The apartment was excellent with walkout to the pool deck and view over the sea. Amenities in the complex were wonderful. Everything you would need was within easy walking distance, restaurants, pharmacy, grocery stores, English Butcher, taxi service and local bus. There was a paved promenade along the shore that ran for miles/kilometers and is illuminated so walking in the evening is very safe. A local market is just a 15 minute walk along the promenade in Sabinillas, along with all the restaurants that are along the way. There is a bakery on the main street, a wonderful fresh fish market in the main grocery store and an English book store. Despite the Covid19 inconvenience we had a wonderful time and would return if the opportunity arises. The only problem we had was the contact phone number to get the keys for the apartment was non-functioning. Fortunately we received assistance from a local resident who assisted us in contacting the security staff to let us in.
Everything we needed. One small problem Eugina dealt with straight away. Excellent property, would certainly go back. Neat, tidy and clean. Good service overall. Thanks Eugina x

we loved our stay here, the apartment has everything you need, and lovely sea views from the outside seating area. It was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Wifi worked well. Although we had a car, it is very convenient to walk to the port, the Castillo and Sabinillas, so only needed to use the car for further away trips and shopping.The apartments are well managed and have 24 hour friendly staff. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Probably the best location around in Duquesa, 500 yards from the port and a stone throw away from the beach. Very clean and well equipped apartment, take some plastic cups if you have kids as the floor is marble and you can’t bring class to the pool. We would definitely return again.

Ideal location in nice complex
Clean and spacious. Quite well equipped. We would have liked cool bag to take to the beach and would have liked change of towels/bedding during a ten day stay however, this would not deter us from revisiting or recommending. (I washed towels myself during our stay) Other concern was security locks on doors due to being ground floor level which we considered required attention. Overall nice property and location near to all amenities and the beach.

Vacaciones vacaciones!
Gracias Eugenia por estos días. Has estado atent en todo momento y dispuesta a todo!. Tu apartamento es muy cómodo, bien ubicado, fessco, tranquilo y suficientemente equipado. Las camas son cómodas. El sofá cama donde han dormido los niños se hace en un plis. No hemos utilizado la mesa del salón: el la terraza hemos hecho todas las comidas! La ubicación del apartamento es ideal y nos ha ayudado a estar cómodos. Da la sombra a la hora de comida y desayuno. La Cocina con todo lo necesario. Cerca está el puerto con amplia oferta hostelera (comida asiática, Argentina, italiana...) el pueblo de Sabinillas y Castillo de la Duquesa, con un paseo marítimo para disfrutar largos paseos. La plaza de La Colonia, a 5 minutos, ideal para estar largas jornadas con los niños. Él definitiva, un buen apartamento para disfrutar de unas buenas vacaciones en familia tranquilas y relajadas pero en un lugar accesible a todos los servicios. Gracias, Eugenia.

Lovely apartment
I spent a couple of days with my family during Easter, and we had an amazing time. The apartment is very bright and clean and it is very well equipped for 4 people. It has beautiful views, direct access to the pool and is located in a very familiar and quiet area. It is nearby the beach, the port, and many restaurants. Both owners and workers are very friendly. I highly recommend it, we will be back for sure.
