Beautiful Private Lakefront new Log Home
A waterfront, gorgeous log home with panoramic, stunning views of the pristine, 15-acre Huse Pond. A simple walk out the front door and you will find yourself perfectly placed to go fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, or swimming in the summer as well as icefishing or riding a snow mobile in the winter! The lake is home to the dam of a beaver family, plentiful freshwater bass (great for fishing!), breathtaking cranes, and other wildlife. Kayaks and paddle boat are provided.
This newly built home is located in Weare, a classic New England small town, that is private but also conveniently placed a 15 minute drive away from Manchester and an hour and half drive away from Boston. The property includes a 10+ acre wooded lot, adjacent to several hundred acres of town conservation forest. This home is completely invisible from the outside street, and is distanced from only three neighbors around the lake, making it the ideal place for a private retreat or getaway.
Your stay will be complete with High Speed Comcast Internet, top notch Central A/C for the summer time, and an energy-efficient heating system for the winter time! The house is equipped with a full-house automatic electric generator in case of emergency. The space design includes a spacious balcony and marble-countered kitchens, alongside comfortably furnished living and common spaces!
Fantastic surround sound system installed for the whole house. Each room also has its own audio system.
You'll be just minutes away from numerous destination natural sites, including Lake Sunapee, Mount Sunapee, Pat's Peak, Everett Lake, Lake Horace, and many more! There is ample hiking nearby (Hedgehog Mountain, Crotched Mountain, Oak Hill Hiking Trails).
Only a 10 minute drive away, the gorgeous, clean LAKE HORACE has a beach and a boat ramp and is the perfect place for fishing and water recreation! Only four miles away you can visit the CLOUGH STATE PARK which includes the stunning 150-acre EVERETT LAKE, a 900-foot sandy beach, playing fields, and a large picnic area. Activities in the park include swimming, hiking, fishing, picnicking and non-motorized boating!
New Hampshire adventure activities in nearby towns include off-roading with ATVs, axe throwing, immersive game rooms, indoor trampoline parks, indoor shooting ranges, horse riding lessons.
Also with a 15 minute commute, you'll find PAT'S PEAK: a popular alpine ski area with various trails, terrain parks, and snow tubing! For longer ski trails, a half an hour drive away is MOUNT SUNAPEE STATE PARK with breathtaking views all year round while you hike, ski, or snowboard! Both mountains are incredibly well taken care of by friendly, helpful staff!
Within Mount Sunapee State Park is LAKE SUNAPEE -- another very popular water destination complete with multiple beaches! Here you can visit any of the five lighthouses or the quaint Harbor with restaurants and a country store. You can climb onto boats that will take you for a full tour of the lake, launch your own boat, or go fishing! The lifeguards in the public areas make Lake Sunapee the perfect place for safety while canoeing and kayaking.
For serious chefs or healthy foodies, you will have full cast ions, copper, glass or stainless steel cookware and bakeware if this matters to you. (No Teflon nonstick cookwares).
There is an outdoor pizza oven and a smoker and grill that works with either propane or coal. Campfires with provided moveable fire pit and metal skewers are also a family fun activity snow or shine.
Hope you will enjoy your stay and experience here.

Beautiful home and surroundings. We had an amazing stay and the multitude of amenities were perfect. Games, darts, ping pong and work out equipment. The highlight was skating on the pond. There was something for everyone.
We enjoyed our stay in Weare. House was spacious enough for our family. Kids enjoyed fishing in the pond, kayaking and paddle boarding. They also enjoyed the game room.
This was our second time renting this house. We love the location and everything about it. We have a large family and the house is more than big enough for everyone and the lake is beautiful.
Our stay was absolutely perfect. Frank was so kind and accommodating- he gave us a tour which was super helpful. Our group had a great time and enjoyed all of the amenities and beautiful scenery. Would 10/10 come back without a doubt!
The place is exactly as advertised, modern, clean, and very spacious. My husband and I went with 4 other couples and had a great time. The house had everything we needed from utensils to entertainment.
Frank was a great host showing us around when we arrived and available via phone when needed. Definitely would stay at this home again!
Perfect location for my son’s wedding at LaBelle Winery in Amherst. Had multiple people coming and going throughout the five days and there was space for all. Have never had a vacation rental with so many cooking amenities which made entertaining a breeze. Highly recommend this home!
We had a small reunion with a few families. This place is perfect for a good size group. The house is very spacious with everything you need for grilling and cooking. The location is remote but also close to local amenities. Thank you Frank!
This house was perfect for a family vacation. In the weeks leading up to our stay I emailed Frank a few times with questions regarding adding guests, bringing pets, etc, and each time I received a quick reply approving my request. The property was very quiet and provided complete privacy. The house was beautiful, with enough space so we never felt crowded. The most popular features for our group were the pizza oven, dock, and huge deck. I highly recommend this house for a large group.
We used this house as a base for a for a week long Mother-Daughter-Granddaughter get together. The large kitchen (actually 2 of them) and gathering rooms were perfect for entertaining as well as the huge deck. We had a cook-out one day and had around 22 people popping in and out. There was plenty of parking, and it was nice that we put two cars in the garage. The weather was a bit cool, so we only got to use the peddle boat once - and didn't use the kayaks, but the pond was beautiful - and the view from the deck was awesome. Frank (host) was very friendly and gave a tour of the house upon our arrival. Highly recommend this house.

Spacious log cabin - be prepared to clean!
This is a good sized house for a family weekend away, plenty of things to do. Remote location, yet not too far from the town square. However, there were ANTS in every room of the house. There were dead and live ants in the kitchen cabinets. We probably killed well over 100 ants while we were there. I killed an ant in front of the host during check in. Window sills had layers of dust. The host said not to worry about locking the doors, we found that unsafe. The property was a very good size. However, four bedrooms share one bathroom, and the bathroom is not on the same floor as two of the bedrooms. It was not as clean as we had hoped: dust, dirt, leaves; we washed the floor. We needed to buy handsoap for the bathrooms. The bath mats and bath rugs did not look like they had been laundered in quite a while. I hope that the previous guests get a refund for their cleaning fee, as it was not likely used.
We recently stayed at this property for Thanksgiving with nine adults, two children, and two well-behaved dogs, and had a memorable experience overall.
The home is set in a stunning location with a beautiful yard, lake, and deck space that we thoroughly enjoyed. Outdoor highlights included making s’mores over the solo fire pit and using the pizza oven. Inside, the two kitchens were impressively stocked with cookware, appliances (including two coffee makers and an espresso machine), and essentials, making it easy to prepare our Thanksgiving feast using the three stoves. We also appreciated thoughtful touches like the mini crib for our 7-month-old and a baby bath for the tub, which made traveling with a little one much easier.
Communication with the hosts was exceptional—always prompt and friendly. Check-in was unusual, as there were no instructions, but one of the hosts gave us a helpful private tour.
While the property was generally clean, some areas needed more attention, and the abundance of personal items made it feel less like a vacation rental. Clearer checkout instructions would also be helpful, as we were unsure what was expected beyond leaving things tidy.
Overall, this home worked well for our family gathering, offering beautiful amenities and a great location. With a bit more polish, it could easily be a five-star experience. Thank you to the hosts for sharing your lovely property!
We enjoyed a fantastic week! The house is amazing and well appointed. So many fun activities and great for relaxation with the entire family. Grateful to our hosts and their responsiveness around any and all of our inquiries. We look forward to staying again.
We had our early family Christmas of 11 family members and it was fantastic. You couldn't ask for more.. a full gum, ping pong, pond front with kayaks and paddle boat that were so fun! The kitchen has everything you could want. (No Kerig machine but they had coffee) We also hired a chef, Jamie Bougie-Sweet Trash-that I highly recommend. Frank and Dennis were wonderful hosts and met our every need. Would definitely recommend for a fun family weekend.
Outstanding experience start to finish. Great private setting on pond. New and spotlessly clean home with all amenities and endless space. State of the art kitchen with outdoor pizza oven , gas grilles etc, and surround sound entertainment . Frank and Dennis were a pleasure to deal with. Looking forward to our next stay here.
Our family had a wonderful time at the Chen Estate. We were greeted by Dennis who gave us a walk thru of the property and made us feel very comfortable. Our week included family activities of games, puzzles and crafts, there was plenty of room to spread out. The house allowed for spaces of quiet and relaxation. During our stay we spent a day at Clough State Park. We enjoyed nightly campfires and star gazing . It was a special week.
