「The hotel is not nearly as beautiful as it is in the pictures. I am sure it was amazing 5 years ago but it has fallen into a bad state of disrepair. A colony of bats made a home inside and leave their droppings all over the hallway and in room #4 if you are lucky to get that one. Room #1 smelled of raw sewage. However, the wifi is blazing fast and works all over the property and beach. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I just wish the owners would invest a little in repairs and clean out...

We were treated so well — they took great care of us, and everything we asked for was no problem; they fixed it right away. The place was clean, peaceful, and the generator worked very well (incredibly important in Jambiani since the power goes out all the time). We are super satisfied!! 「It was amazing! It was really soo beautifully decorated. Simple but pretty. Loved the little water bowl outside the room to rinse your feet. The staff were soo kind & helpful. The only thing the room needs is a long mirror in the room. And the restaurant food can be slightly improved. But otherwise all.good! I will definitely recommend it! 」

「Relaxed beyond words during our stay @ Blue Reef. This place is a vibe…chill. Luxuries abound in our rooms (we stayed in the apartment). So much space for our family of 4 to really spread out and regroup after a week of safari in northern Tanzania. Snorkeling right from the hotel was perfect for the kids. 「Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented.
