We were very impressed with this motel. The room was exceptionally clean. The property was also outstanding. I would recommend this motel to everyone. Another plus it is privately owned, which is a plus considering most hotel in Mackinac City are owed by one person. I will stay here again.

The staff/ owner was exceptionally hospitable and the rooms were nice and clean. It had a vintage charm with old cars in the parking lot and a personal touch. Very nice find in a great location. We would stay here again.

Rainbow motel has exactly the amenities senior like myself enjoys, 1/clean basic room c/w parking right out side my door. 2/Spacious well groomed grounds for sitting and visiting other travelers. This was such a nice stay! The room looks older, but it was great! The pool was nice and the outdoor area was great. We were so close to everything downtown and the ferry we didnt have to drive much, even with 2 little kids. The owners were so friendly and helpful!

We selected the Rainbow Motel for its high rating but after checking in, it became apparent that the rating system needs to be updated to enable a higher rating. This motel is in the style of a 1960’s roadside motel but I feel like I was the first person to stay in it. So clean and well maintained. Laura, who checked us in was a sweetheart.

It was musty, bath was old and and had no counter space. The beds were hard and lumpy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were attractive. It would be nice if they had a coffee malt in the room.
