"We were kindly offers an upgrade to an exec room. It was a very short stay. The room was prepared but apart from bed and bathroom being ok. The room itself was filthy. Every surface desk, table, bedside unit was covered in food crumbs. The carpet was dirty also. I mentioned this to the staff member on the front desk who seemingly wasn't bothered. We were not impressed to say the least! "

"The staff were so kind - reception team never at around 0830 on my check in day with short dark hair and glasses checked me in. I had to ask for a early check in because I came for an exam and he was so attentive and arranged for a room to be cleaned and also treated me to some treats in the room to cheer me up and wish me good luck. This really made my whole experience of this trip so much better and I was so grateful for the empathy and kindness. The hotel itself was clean. Nice view of the lake. Comfortable beds. Good amenities in room. Continental varied breakfast. Overall excellent experience "

"The property was adequate for an unexpected visit. Room was clean, bathroom functional, drinks facilities and fridge were welcome as were the towels. However, the room door was tricky to close securely and the pool/gym area was under repair which limited access. When staff were encountered they were friendly and helpful but there wasn't an abundance of available staff. Overall, an easy to use hotel - fair value for the price."

"The staff are so helpful and really try to make you feel welcomed and at ease. The pool is very cold and pretty small but the jacuzzi is pretty roomie. It is fairly clean and room service is good. There isn't much to do as it's in the middle of nowhere and you will need to get a car to travel anywhere. Breakfast is great with vegetarian options."

"Stayed at the Forest of Arden Hotel and overall had a really good experience. The setting is genuinely stunning, especially in the evening when the deer come out, which was a real highlight for us. It’s clearly very golf-focused, so worth knowing if that’s not your thing, but it didn’t take away from our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although starting to feel a little worn in places. The staff were friendly throughout, and I have to give a special mention for how well they handled my wife’s and son’s coeliac requirements. Breakfast was prepared separately from the buffet, fresh, and with plenty of options, which made a big difference. We felt safe and well looked after during our stay, and I’d definitely come back again."
