Welcome to The Orchard! Enjoy a 104-year-old home in Luray, VA- recently renovated for a stylish, upscale stay including a hot tub. The 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home sits on 1 acre of quiet land with a variety of fruit trees, fire pit, horseshoe pits and volleyball net. Surrounded by neighboring farms, it's 4 mins from Luray Caverns, Walmart & 18 mins from Shenandoah National Park. Relax on the covered front porch overlooking mountains, grill out on the new griddle, eat a meal on the side porch, sit around the firepit, enjoy the cozy living & dining rooms, designed bedrooms, game room & stocked kitchen! Play a game of horseshoes at the custom-made horseshoe pits or volleyball at the private court!

  • The beautiful tiger at the Luray Rescue Zoo. This zoo holds animals that are unable to be cared for any more or should never have become House pets to begin with. The man that owns the place was born and raised in an animal loving family and his respect and love for the animals show through his interactions and knowledge. You can schedule a behind the scenes tour of the zoo if you call ahead. During this tour I was able to pet a porcupine, feeds goats, feed bananas to a lemur, and feed the tiger pictured. An amazing zoo with an amazing story #lurayzoo #rescuezoo

We had a really fun time in Luray, VA. This property is located close to Walmart and next to the town of Luray. The grill worked great and the beds were comfortable.

Great mutli-generation escape

Wonderful stay! Comfortable beds. Hot tub and fire pit were great, and the piece de resistance was awesome hammock chairs. Easy to get groceries at Walmart and good central locations for shendoah valley hikes. We would definitely come back.

Overall a really good stay, the property was in a perfect location with a great yard and great common spaces. Unfortunately we did encounter a large wasp nest on the porch however the owners had someone out asap to remove them! I will warn parents that the bedrooms do have large unsecured mirrors leaning against the walls. Overall the location, yard, and dining table made our stay very comfy! Would book again.

Lovely home!

This home is lovely. Clean, beautifully decorated, and with several spacious rooms. I do wish the neighborhood had been a bit more scenic, but we had a wonderful time (and we had kids with us, ranging in age from 2 to 15!). The owners are very responsive and will provide information in a timely manner. We thank them for being great hosts.

If you’re searching for a clean and thoughtfully renovated place to stay, this fits the bill. We enjoyed the home, quiet neighborhood and easy access to Shenandoah NP, Luray Caverns and more. We would certainly stay there again.

Wedding Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at The Orchard over the weekend for a family wedding. This is a beautifully renovated home located just minutes away from town and there are lots of places to explore in Luray. Some of our favorites included Stover Hall, Broad Porch Cafe, Blue Shepard Spirits, West Main Market, and of course, Luray Caverns. After a day in town it was so relaxing to come back to this home, take the dogs for a walk through the orchard, and then wind down watching the lightening bugs over the lawn and looking up at the stars. Everything was clean and working properly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property if you are coming to Luray!

Amazing, big, beautiful

home was so comfortable and huge, it was perfect for any family situation. I would imagine enough space, a downstairs bedroom for the handicapped or elderly, a beautiful, huge yard with a trail through the Orchard. And had so much character, I would recommend this to anyone who loves the country, or who wants to escape the city.
