The Space:

A quiet mountain morning settles in as steam rises from the hot tub and the Shenandoah Valley stretches beyond the trees. Cool air, birdsong, and the stillness of nature create an easy rhythm, inviting you to slow down, warm up, and feel tucked away while still close to town. Whether you soak under the stars or unwind indoors after a day of exploring, the cabin makes it simple to settle in and feel at home.



Sleeping arrangements

The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests across three bedrooms and a living area. One bedroom offers a queen bed. The other two bedrooms each feature a queen/twin bunk bed. In the living room, a pull‑out sofa provides additional sleeping space. Bed linens, extra pillows, and blankets are supplied for crisp mountain nights.



Living space

Single‑level living and a private entrance mean no stairs to navigate. The main living area is bright, with natural light, comfortable seating, a TV for relaxed evenings, and WiFi (service may be slower or spotty due to the remote location). Central heating and air conditioning keep the interior comfortable year‑round.



Kitchen & dining

The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed for home‑cooked meals, from hearty breakfasts to cozy dinners. A dining space invites you to share meals together without leaving the property.



Outdoor living

Even in winter, the outdoor spaces call you outside. The year‑round hot tub is perfect for soaking under the open sky after a chilly day. A backyard and deck give room to spread out, while a fire pit offers a warm gathering spot in the evenings. A grill is available for outdoor cooking when the weather permits.



Family & pet‑friendly

Ellery Cottage welcomes families and dogs, providing children’s books, toys, and dinnerware. Cats are not allowed. The spacious yard gives kids and dogs room to play.



Practical comforts

A washer and dryer, bathroom essentials, and a bathtub make longer stays easy. Free parking on the premises, self‑check‑in with a lockbox, and a clean deck and walkways (though leaves, pollen, and other natural elements may appear) add flexibility and convenience.



Neighborhood & attractions

The Shenandoah River is a short walk away, offering scenic views in every season. Downtown Luray and the famous Luray Caverns are about a 10‑minute drive, with restaurants, breweries, shops, and seasonal festivals nearby. Shenandoah National Park and surrounding mountain scenery are close, making the cottage an ideal base for exploring the area.
