A clawfoot tub in the en-suite bathroom invites you to soak, while the suite's cozy nook is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or reading.

Longer Stays

For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.

Book the entire first floor for a getaway that blends comfort, style, and a sense of history. Whether for a family gathering or a special celebration, The Legacy Inn's second-floor suites provide a tranquil, elegant escape in the heart of Luray.

Property Highlights:

-Stunning Mountain Views: Step outside and take in panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether you're sipping coffee on the porch or relaxing in the garden, the scenery is always a highlight.

-Outdoor Spaces: Guests can unwind in the peaceful backyard or enjoy the wrap-around porch, perfect for reading, birdwatching, or simply enjoying the fresh mountain air.

-Common Areas: The Inn features several welcoming common areas, including a cozy sitting room with a fireplace. As guests at the Inn, you’ll be sharing the property with other visitors who are also enjoying their stay. While each suite or room offers private accommodations, the grounds, outdoor spaces, and common areas may be used by multiple guests. We kindly ask everyone to be respectful of quiet hours, shared amenities, and each other’s privacy. This shared environment is part of what makes the Inn such a warm and welcoming place — a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy the peaceful setting together.

Adults Only: The Legacy Inn is an adults-only escape designed for rest, romance, and relaxation. Whether you’re planning a peaceful getaway, a romantic weekend, or a special celebration, our 7-suite inn offers a quiet, sophisticated atmosphere tailored for grown-up comfort. With no children on-site, guests can fully unwind—whether that means sipping coffee on the porch swing, strolling to downtown Luray, or enjoying a serene evening under the stars.

Whether you're here for adventure, romance, or relaxation, The Legacy Inn offers a delightful stay with personality and a sense of place.

Please note: The Inn is heated and cooled using mini split systems, which are energy-efficient and help us maintain comfort without altering the structure of our historic building. The mini split in the shared guest space is set to 70°F for your comfort. If the area feels too warm or too cool, you're welcome to turn off the unit using the remote; however, we kindly ask that you return it to 70°F or turn it back on when you leave the space. Due to the limitations of a historic property, we also recommend bringing a personal fan for added comfort during the warmer months.

Thank you for helping us care for and preserve this special place!
