Royal Marine Hotel

"A really impressive building - we’ve passed by before and always hoped to stay here. The building is quirky and has so much going for it… probably several £££ million to bring it up to 4* standards, but the staff were super friendly and the room we were assigned was brilliant and had lovely views over the port. Also accommodated for our dog which was really appreciated. The restaurant served a great dinner too and the Scottish breakfast gave us a cracking start on our onward journey. Thank you !"

"We stayed at the Wee Cottage by the Ferry for 4 nights in early Sep. It was a great place to stay. Exactly as advertised, extremely clean, comfortable bed, nice shower, great location and had everything we needed for our stay. Kevin was very easy to deal with and responded promptly to messages. He even left us the basic necessities and more in the fridge and pantry. We’ll definitely stay here again when we are back in Gourock."

"The host and his daughter were very kind and helpful. We were there to see the Highland Games and they provided information regarding parking, getting there, etc. It is a very beautiful old house built by the Lipton tea guy."

"Could not fault Loch View lodge. Lesley and Andrew were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Everything you need is there, and more. Even the folder with instructions for everything is so detailed. Lesley is available if you need anything. Would return"

"Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in Gourock. Michael, der Besitzer war sehr unkompliziert und immer erreichbar. Die Aussicht auf den See war wirklich toll. Für nur 22 Pfund kommt man mit der ganzen Familie mit dem Zug nach Glasgow. Selbst bei einem eigenverschuldeten Schaden war Michael sehr verständnisvoll und zuvorkommend."

"Came back to this flat for second time as it had everything you need. There’s been a few changes made to it ie. new walk in shower which I think makes it more adult friendly. The stairs when you walk in the close are a bit tired and daunting to take suitcases up but still manageable. I had a chat with a couple of the neighbours and they’re really friendly. The location is perfect. All in all I’d stay here no problem again in the future as my wife and I really enjoyed our stay again."

"A beautiful guest house with a beautiful view across the water. The bedroom had a lovely sea view , comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. There were many little extras but I particularly liked the Dunoon fine bone china cups , saucers and teapot a delightful way to enjoy a cuppa. Ken is a great host and seems to think of everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and a good choice available. We also enjoyed using the comfortable lounge which again had that wonderful sea view and were lucky enough to watch porpoises feeding offshore. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Douglas Park Guest house."

"We had a pretty good time. It was in a very central location which was nice. I do wish that the beds were a little bit more comfortable, and that there were better instructions when it comes to the shower and the heating. Over all it was very enjoyable. "
