Beautiful place to stay and staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, look nice, and are really comfortable. The adorable little dog is an additional bonus! Will definitely stay here again on our subsequent visits to Dunoon.
Our stay at Douglas Park was simply wonderful. From trying to spot dolphins out the windows at breakfast to warm welcomes from Tilly and Ken after a rainy day out. Ken is an absolutely wonderful host whose hospitality is exemplary! Thank you for a lovely stay!
I loved my stay at Douglas Park Guest House so much. My room was so serene with the view of the ocean, breakfast was delicious and I slept so well every night. Ken and Tilly are the most wonderful hosts. I felt right at home. Thank you for such a lovely stay!
Okay, there’s no pool or jacuzzi, but that’s not the point. Everything was just as it should be from Kenneth’s welcome to his establishment to my leaving two days later.
The house is absolutely spotless top to bottom with everything the guest would need for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were well-cooked and tasty, and ample enough to set one up for the day.
Bedroom was well-appointed, with numerous thoughtful details. The bed was comfortable with spotless bed linen.
I will return!
An absolute gem of a stay. Great breakfast. Kenny is a fantastic host. Comfortable beds, very clean, nice bathrooms, easy walking into town, ferries or pier. Bonus for adorable resident pup.
Ken the owner is very helpful and the breakfasts were great. Ken is also happy to assist in any way to make your stay very enjoyable! We will stay here again when we come to Dunoon. Our room looked out over the water and the guest house is minutes from Hunters Quay ferry.
The Douglas park is the best guest house I have ever stayed at. The rooms are decadent. The owners ken and Shona are fantastic hosts especially ken who simply couldn't do enough to please his guests. His cooking skills are top notch especially his smoked haddock and poached egg and his wife shona's home made marmalade... yum yum..6 stars 🌟
Excellent Bed and Breakfast , extremely clean and comfortable. Little touches like real napkins make this BnB stand out . The breakfast was superb ! Hosts are friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back and for a longer stay next time.
Douglas Park was an incredible property. It was immaculately clean. Everywhere. The whole guest house looks like it has just been newly refurbished. The decor is modern and elegant. The rooms were spacious and if you choose to get a front room the view is spectacular. There is free parking but if you don’t have a car there is a bus straight outside the door that takes you into town, to the ferries, to your next destination. Ken, our host, was so helpful. He recommended places for dinner that were excellent. He new the bus and ferry schedules off by heart he helped us organize ordering flowers for a friend we were going on to visit. Breakfast was included and was absolutely delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone!!
From walking in the door to leaving Ken &Shona made your stay great.
Made a pot of coffee so we could relax after our journey,we had this in lounge facing the

Als ich die Bewertung "5" sah, war ich zunächst skeptisch aber alles ohne Ausnahme hat schließlich meine hohen Erwartungen vollumfänglich erfüllt. Die Note "5" für "hervorragend" ist absolut berechtigt.
We booked the twin room for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated with luxurious touches. We had lovely views onto the garden and the beds were very comfortable. Our private bathroom was a few steps down the landing, which was no problem as bathrobes were provided. The breakfast room and guest lounge both offered stunning sea views of the Firth of Clyde, ideal for spending a rainy afternoon with a good book. We found plenty things to do during our stay including hill walking and visiting interesting and picturesque places like Tarbert and Inveraray. Some of the landscape and nature was just breathtaking. Dunoon had all the amenities and plenty of good restaurants and pubs. However, our drive to Otter Ferry to have lunch at the "Oyster Catcher" pub/restaurant was well worth it. The guest house owners Shona and Ken were the perfect hosts and went out their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They provided us with local information and suggestions for things to do. We appreciated the little treats we found each night in our room and the breakfast was very good and varied, with fresh fruit - strawberries and blueberries! - provided every morning. We can highly recommend Douglas Park Guest House and would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks again Shona and Ken for looking after us so well.
