Place was amazing. Staff were helpful and went out of their way to help. Room was large and clean with a balcony overlooking the lake. Bus stop was feet from the door and the Olive Tree walk started next to thee hotel. Overall just an amazing place.

Wonderful!

What a lovely stay in Castagnola, near Lugano. We were there as a family -- 2 adults + 2 kids and we had a family suite. It was very clean and comfortable and the hotel staff was very kind and helpful! We only had one night in the area and were happy to find a quite place off the beaten path. Nice restaurant/bar and breakfast in the morning was included, which was fantastic. Access to the Olive Trail leading from Castagnola to Gandria was directly across the street -- it was gorgeous! We took the bus back and the stop is less than a block from the hotel so super convenient. Would absolutely recommend this property and stay there again.

Great service!

This was the best customer service I've ever had at a hotel; the female night manager helped arrange our parking, carried most of our suitcases, and even helped us buy bus tickets - at the bus stop! While there were a few details, like too much road noise and the tv not working (could care less), the staff's friendliness and helpfulness made it a very enjoyable stay. Would stay again in heartbeat.

Uncomfortable rooms with narrow twin beds, insuficient garbage space, towels, for the included breakfast if you ask an egg they charge you 5CHF/EGG without telling it in advance. The receptionist has no time to give clarifications, he gave us a local map last day. He gave us a wrong information that costed us an afternoon and useless 30 km of dangerous road.

Absolut Empfehlenswert

Super nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr saubere Unterkunft, mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Frühstück war absolut ausreichend, inklusive frisch zubereitetem Kaffee oder Kakao…. Sehr nahe zum See gelegen, Lugano ist zu Fuß oder sehr einfach mit dem Bus zu erreichen. Parkplatz nur zum einchecken vor der Unterkunft vorhanden, aber weitere Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Nähe stehen zur Verfügung.
