5/5 - Excellent
Lots of activities for the single folks as well as a family. Loved driving around the country. Wish we could have stayed longer so we could explore more.

Our room balcony was taken over by gnats. The ironing board was lacking a pad. The grounds were well landscaped and clean. The dining hall was beautiful. The food was very good and the portions were plentiful.

It was gorgeous. We swam and fished in the lake every day. It’s a trek down the staircase to the lake, but once we adapted to it we really enjoyed it. Beautiful cove.

Very Accommodating, I didn’t realize when I booked that the one we booked did not have a TV. They let us switch to one that was bigger and had multiple TV at no additional charge.

Explore the great outdoors at Barren River Lake State Resort Park, a lovely green space in Lucas. While you're in the area, stroll along the lakeside.

Not much too do
Quiet small town.
If you're looking to do a lot of things near cave city, stay in cave city or horse cave. Barren river lake state park was about 45 minutes from Mammoth cave and about 45 minutes from any of the family stuff that we were trying to do.
Gorgeous for fishing and relaxing! Perfect hideaway. All properties!
Conveniently located halfway between Scottsville and Glasgow. I went to Barren River Lake State Park Resort and the Dollar General. Satisfied with both.
