Tucked into the hills above Silverlake and designed by the lesser-known modernist, Allyn E. Morris, this house is one half of a 1964 updated duplex property with modern amenities and breathtaking views of the mountains to the east, a perfect space for working or relaxing, in the heart of LA's east side.
The space
Through the keypad entry on the ground level, a well-appointed kitchen opens onto the living space, replete with streaming options, and a balcony with Mountain Views stretches out beyond.
Downstairs you’ll find a spacious primary bedroom suite with room darkening shades, ensuite ¾ bathroom, stacked laundry, generous closet and small TV. Please note there is no door on this level, so sounds from the upstairs may travel.
Upstairs holds a second bedroom with a private balcony, a full bathroom, and a den/office outfitted with a large desk and fast wifi. This flexible room for remote work or relaxing connects to the roof deck with outdoor dining, lounge chairs and views.

Other things to note
Please note: this property has as a roof deck, two balconies and two open-tread staircases – one without a guardrail. We feel these add character to this architectural hillside house, but may not be suitable for all guests. Book at your own risk.
One more note on our two staircases: while kitchen and living room are located on the ground floor, we have narrow doorways and our bathrooms and bedrooms require use of a stair. For these reasons, this property may not be suitable for elderly or differently-abled guests
