Fantastic and convenient gem

amazing decor and so comfortable, right on top of a lovely pub - loved this place!!! super convenient too - would stay again in a heartbeat. Only small thing to point out, you may need to be on an upper floor if you're a light sleeper on account of the trains so close to Paddington - otherwise, fantastic stay.

The location is great. As a hotel next to a train station, it is very inconvenient that there is no way to leave bags at reception before or after one's stay.

Hotel was lovely, fab location, clean and tidy. Stayed one night. A little noisy but it’s above a pub. So was expecting it to be. Friendly staff.

The room was great, we ate at the pub downstairs and enjoyed the food. My only complaint is that they are not open until later in the day to drop off luggage. Most other places offered this service to help travelers explore the city without having to carry all of their luggage. We did find a place down the street to store our things, for a fee, in a rough looking neighborhood. But otherwise, the stay was great.

Cute and convenient

We stayed in room 12 which overlooks a cute set of backyards. It’s on the third floor up some really winding steps - good fun. Quiet all the time even though it’s on a busy corner next to the train station. You could hear a slight rumble from trains but it never bothered us. The room is cute, small but very comfortable. It had a fridge. The shower doesn’t have great pressure but it worked. Comfy bed.

Loud - room located over a bar

Rooms on 2nd floor are directly over a bar that played music until about 11:30. Up to that point, it was very loud and hard to sleep. Noise started again around 8am, but not as loud. Rooms themselves were nice, recently remodeled. Room was clean and everything worked. Note that this really is less of a hotel than it is a bar with rooms. To check-in you stand in line at the bar, there is no desk. Also, they can't store luggage and wouldn't check me in early. I had to pay ~$30 to store bags from 1-3pm when I arrived and again from 11am-5pm the next day.

Like a prison!!!!

Delayed flight, wanted to cancel but I had to pay for two nights even that was plenty of rooms were there, mostly empty. I was shocked when I opend a door. The old lady was there who is in reception she was anygry on me, I didn't sleep there I just booked other hotel nearby, 6 beds domitory looked like a jail. I called them around 10:55am in the morning, I haven't slept there, I gonna give the key back. She was angry on me and I said sorry again and again. Pay one pound more and stay in the other like YHA oxford or Paddington. It was terrible.

Avoid to checkin busy night time, it's bar counter

It was awful stay here. I've checked in late 9pm, since checkin at noon was declined. It was Halloween night, one of the busiest day of year, I had to wait standing at very noisy crowded bar for half hours long. The room is upstairs of this bar, so very noisy outside. But shower room is clean, no problem at all. Next day, after I've checked out, I head to Heathrow Airport by tube, at lowest cost of 4.1 pound. At checkin counter, I was very very shocked that there's no passport! Passport was'nt returned after this hostel checkin. I have to pay 44 pounds of money for Heathrow Express to pick up my passport to this hotel in fastest time. Luckey thing is hostel is close to Paddington, so I could be in time before airplane departure. This was most terrible stay I've every before.

Pefect location for getting around London, 2 mins from Paddington station and the Underground. Room was pretty full with the 2nd sofa bed pulled out. Also Room 1 had the pleasure of the compressor for the pub going on/off all night which was not good. Also lots of nice cafes for braskfast
