The Hyde Hotel is certainly not luxurious but is, most definitely, very convenient and in a beautiful area of London. My room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a quite run down and a bit noisy but for the price it is very adequate.

Room had no AC. One tv was missing in one room other room had no remote for the tv. The room was up in an attic with ac so the heat from roof was overwhelming. This hotel should be shutdown. Staff couldnt help at all. Worst time ever.

Possibly the worst hotel I've stayed at. With just a useless fan to fight the heat the room was hotter than outside of the hotel making it difficult to sleep. I should have slept on the street and returned just to use the shower... The towels smelt damp even though they were clean. There was one choice of lightning ALL on and extremely bright or off. Even a cheap sidetable lamp would have made sense. Obviously recommend avoiding this hotel and especially in hot weather.

First room had no working tv , next room had no functioning air fan and it was a hot night. Because I complained I was punished by being given a room up 6 flights of stairs - the room had no towels but I was too tired to go back down to reception and ask for one ; it was 10.30 at night and had wasted half an hour changing rooms and climbing stairs

The check-in process was easy and the staff was courteous. We had to wait a bit for them to finish cleaning the room but it was fine. The Studio family room included a full kitchen that was a bonus. The best thing about the hotel is the price for the location. Location is great

My first room that was on the first floor had a door with a lock that didn’t work. Spoke to the receptionist who told me it does work, I went back to double check and told him it didn’t, he then came with me and confirmed that the lock did not work. After this I was given a room on the top floor to which I discovered had flies all around the room, bed, furniture etc. along with hairs and a fly under the pillow, a squashed fly on the wall, the room smelt and the window was full of bird droppings and a bit of wood flooring missing out of the floor. I went to reception and explained my issues and was offered a room in the BASEMENT. I declined and asked for a refund, was told there was no manager on site and that I would have to speak to Expedia who were shockingly useless and did nothing. It took a family member calling reception for something to be done (which I am thankful for) was sent to a sister hotel for one of the two days (The Gate Hotel) where the staff were absolutely amazing, in particular Pranav who offered me an extra nights stay as I had no where else to go. All-in-all everything was resolved, I would stay at The Gate Hotel again and can only strongly advise others not to visit The Hyde Hotel.

Great location. Contact with the hotel prior to arrival impossible. They only replied to an email after I arrived and there was no direct phone contact. Property was clean but a little musty. Rooms were bare. A kettle was provided but no tea/coffee. The suite had a separate kitchen with 1 mug, one knife and fork.
