「The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available.」

「The cottage was very quiet and remote yet the road is no problem at all. It has a stunning view and there’s a walk route where you can explore nearby villages and farm. The cottage owner was friendly and accommodating. She prepared freshly baked scones, milk, coffee, tea, sugar ready on our arrival. She checked on us as well twice to make sure we’re okay. 「Outstanding property with easy access and great communication beforehand. The place is a joy to stay at set in a beautiful area, well located to amenities, very quiet, no noise or hassle from owners, well equipped internally, good internet, easy parking, comfy bed, great kitchen and bathroom and great value for money. The place is beautiful and a real real gem. I definitely will be back like Arnie once said….」

「Beautiful, comfortable property in a great, secluded location at the bottom of a valley. Everything we needed was there, and the hosts were waiting with the keys to give us the tour. Dog friendly, but be aware that the garden is not fully fenced off from the fields and sheep roam through it regularly. I can see how the track to the house could be challenging in winter, but it was no problem in a rear-wheel drive coupe in summer, even in the rain.」
