"We had a lovely stay here, the lock wasn’t working from the outside but was fixed within half an hour, brilliant! Beds are comfortable and the sofa. "First time we stayed in a Shepard hut . Went to Cornwall for some surfing at various beaches . The hut is very close to wadebridge shops and pubs and there’s local supermarkets close as well . It’s very very quiet and private as well , and there’s a log burning hot tub , at the property as well and a couple of sun loungers .there is some cooking equipment if you are prepared to make a meal using 2 hob stove . "Overall it was a good hotel. The spa is quite pricey. The access to the beach or to the small town from the hotel requires a walk along a narrow uneven path with steep steps or you can walk along the roadside but there is only a pavement for about half of the journey so you end up walking in the road, which is narrow and has blind spots. As it is not fully accessible to everyone you would need to bare this in mind. You could drive to the beach & restaurants but from what are saw there is not a lot of parking. It would be nice if the hotel ran a shuttle service to the beach. The hotel itself could do with some rejuvenation on the outside and having the windows cleaned on the inside and outside of the rooms would be a good idea. The Wild Cafe is great for all meals and has a wider menu than the Ogo restaurant and provides better value for money. It would be great if they could create a section in The Wild Cafe that is adults only as listening to screaming children is in no way relaxing. The cocktail bar is nice and if you get a spot on the terrace in the evening you get great views. It would be better if there was a bar by the pool, even if only for peak season. This would save you having to go up and down steep steps. The pools are good, the smaller one is heated. The sun loungers are not very comfortable as they are in just 1 position so you can’t lay comfortably and read. I don’t think I would call this a four star hotel, definitely a solid 3 star."

"We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms, it was very well kept and comfortable, we were only there for one night, but would stay again. One thing is lack of parking, need to pre book as there are limited spaces, but the train station is less than a 2 min walk away, so for us it wasn’t a problem as we parked there instead."
