"The property is beautifully restored, with historic character balanced by clean, comfortable, modern accommodations. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the location made it easy to enjoy downtown Cumberland. A great choice for anyone looking for a distinctive, relaxing stay in the area. I will definitely be staying here again! Onsite restaurant has a great vibe! Drinks and food…AMAZING!!"
"The place itself is very quaint. Bed was absolutely HORRENDOUS! It was so soft, my husband and I didn’t sleep most of the night. You really need new mattresses in your rooms. At least the king bed room we were in."
"This place was so very nice and accommodating. I usually stay at the nearby Best Western because of the breakfast and pool; however, I wanted something that better suited my budget. This is my new spot!! I only wish there had been a couple of pots, pans and utensils to use the mini-kitchen but other than that, I really enjoyed my brief stay."
Wonderful BEAR-LY CONNECTED CABIN in the woods, West Virginia!

"We had a fantastic time here. The house is absolutely beautiful. The location could not have been better and communication between host via text messages were always answered in a timely manner. All instructions were very clear. A very peaceful getaway. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay again."
River Perch on the Cacapon: private home on 27 acres and 1200 ft of riverfront
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at River Perch! We particularly liked hanging out on the deck and listening to the river. The property had all of the amenities you'd expect and more. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning on returning next year."
"We stayed here for one night while we went to the Potomac Eagle train ride. The hotel was clean, quiet and had good parking. Breakfast was good, and it was an overall excellent stay. It's not too far from Romney (30 scenic minutes), WV where there are quite a few local things to see. The Botique on Main, the Red Bird Cafe and the Artisans CoOp were highlights of our visit. You can also check out the Old Fort Mill trenches from the civil war, and the Indian Mound cemetery. Stonewall Jackson's headquarters are also located in Romney."
