The good
* Very well located and quite nice.
* Joivy is very responsive over chat in the Vrbo app.
The bad
* We had plumbing issues. Main one: the bathroom had a very strong sewer smell. While Joivy was quick to respond, the technician was able to solve none of our issues.
* Building front door lock doesn't click unless you pull on it once it's closed. Since many guests don't notice, which leaves the building door unlocked daily.
* Apartment front door didn't always close properly. Once in a while, the latch stays stuck and may the door unlocked if one is not careful.
* We actually got robbed. It's not clear to us if the problem was the easy to guess code, or an instance of the front door not latching properly.
* Self-serve check-in links and backup code didn't work. I had to scramble finding a local SIM card to call them to receive receive assistance. Luckily, they could change the code remotely.
* Missing a lot of convenience items that great place just include to reduce hassle: no salt, pepper, coffee, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, etc. It's an extra hassle extra 20-50 euros to buy the basics that you might not be able to bring back home (in such case you "gift them to the cleaning staff I guess").
Overall, no employee in the building maximizes owner profit, but for the renter, it means mediocre service. Most of the issues we encountered would have been identified and fixed by an on-site employee very rapidly (ex. front door).
