Un Parador, mélange d’ancien et de neuf, très agréable au milieu des arbres. Une bonne étape plus qu’un lieu de séjour car un peu en retrait des lieux à visiter.

Wonderful property, pretty location with large well appointed rooms with plenty of storage and lovely garden views. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast.

Beautiful historical Parador in the most peaceful nature filled grounds! Super helpful and friendly staff, comfortable, spacious with a view rooms! Within walking distance to the river as well! Highly recommend! Will return, muchas gracias!

Our check-in was very smooth, and the staff was friendly. The property is beautiful - it's quite a stunning setting. The room was spacious and very clean. This goes for the bathroom as well. The decor feels a bit dated. Not that I'm wanting everything in grey tones and uber modern, but the current color scheme leans toward forgotten and lacks vibrancy - it just feels dull. Breakfast is a pretty standard fare of choices. The added option to order eggs and bacon is very nice. Everything we had was tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A very well built and magnificent building although the outside and gardens were nowhere near as well maintained as the interior. OK if you are impressed by such things, but in a pretty boring location so I'm glad we only booked one night and there is nothing to tempt me back.

Très vielle institution dans un cadre calme et agréable. Hôtel très cossu avec des épaisseurs de moquettes impressionates. Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit en demi-pension. Très bon restaurant, cadre verdoyant au petit déjeuner au top. Chambre spacieuse et lumineuse.

Hotel with a lot of history and character. Nice large rooms, beautiful grounds and common spaces. Hiking trails right outside the door, a short walk to the village. We would stay here again

Had a nice two night stay, everything went well, staff good, especially the very helpful lady on reception. The area is a bit of a quiet gem, with loads of quiet roads to explore and a quaint village in walking distance. The nearby Laredo was good too, and just a short drive. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Room was more like a suite! We stayed half board which we would recommend as there are not many other places to eat in the area. The food was delicious so glad we booked half board. We visited Santoña (anchovy capital of the world ) and Laredo, both close by, which were well worth the visit. Lovely, unspoilt area of northern Spain.

Great imposing historical hotel

Great hotel in historical building and dominating location. Really nice reception staff and bar and restaurant staff were even better. As residents we were able to access some of the restricted spaces

Well located for Santander Ferry

A very friendly welcome greeted us when we arrived at this hotel. As with all paradors cleanliness, service and comfort was excellent. Great for an overnight before catching the ferry in Santander.
