Hotel was good but no free breakfast

The hotel and room was as expected - clean and comfortable- and the staff was super helpful. However, it was advertised to have a free breakfast. Part of the value of a hotel is the free breakfast for our family. They offered only coffee and juice -not breakfast. This was very disappointing and frustrating.

It’s an older building, but it’s clean and safe. We were there for the 4/8/2024 eclipse and the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum was an easy walk and a great place to watch it. Perfect no-frills hotel for a quick visit. Be aware, the breakfast options are minimal

Our room was clean and provided the necessities, such as a microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, and ample furniture, such as a desk and comfy chair. At the headboards of the two beds were huge photographs of the Cincinnati skyline, which was cool. The only thing we didn’t like was that it smelled like a dog. Breakfast was a fail--a choice of two cereals—Raisin Bran and Frosted Flakes or a granola bar. That’s it? There was coffee, apple or orange juice, and milk. No fruit, yogurt, breads/pastries, waffles, or other items on even the most minimal free breakfast.

Please was clean, bed and furniture had been upgraded. Har drier did not work. Lighting in the bathroom was very dim. I doubt ladies would be very happy trying to put on the makeup. The soap bars were the smallest I even had seen. Not much bigger than your thumb and thin. It's the size you throw away. From a business standpoint in today's electronic age, room lacked power outlets, no usb ports, etc. I guess it is acceptable to some extent considering it is a low cost option to stay.

The room was clean. The light over the sink didn’t work which made it difficult to see into the room to find a light that did work. One of the wall lights worked fine but the light socket was broken and is not only a shock hazard but could start a fire. The bathtub drains so slowly that by the time you finish having a shower the water level is above your ankles. The sink drains slowly too. The heater thermostat needs to be recalibrated as we had to dial it up to 75 degrees to be comfortable in the room. There was only one very thin, I repeat, very thin blanket on the beds. We had to take the blanket off the other bed and use it as well. The front desk staff was very nice.
