"Damien the co-host has great English and called-by every day to ensure everything was fine.The Gite is charming and has all mod cons including a laundry room.Of course, having your own private pool is the real highlight - how will we cope with a public pool ever again?There are woods behind the Gite for walking or cycling and a supermarket is about 5 mins away by car. We had a wonderful time."

"I was tempted to leave a terrible review to put everyone else off but that seemed perhaps a little unfair. This was the most magical, wonderful place to spend time with our children who were utterly entranced with the ponds and loved every moment in the pools. By day #2, one of our 7 year olds was asking if there are schools nearby and could we just live here? Beautiful gardens, fabulous wildlife (learning the French for hedgehog!), late sunsets and a lovely host. Thank you. "

"At first there was a bit of a mixup regarding accommodation but the owner went out of her way to rectify the situation & was more than helpful. Had a very nice meal at a local restaurant Contine. The breakfast which was included was very good with home made preserves etc. Parking on the street wasn't a problem at all. Would recommend staying in this beautiful historic small chateau. Thank you."

"Nous avons passé 4 jours dans ce gîte entre amis et tout s'est très bien déroulé. Le logement est spacieux, propre comme il faut (C'est à dire que l'on s'y sent à l'aise pour vivre et non aseptisé) et parfaitement adapté à un grand groupe. Les espaces de vie sont conviviaux et chacun a pu profiter du séjour confortablement. La piscine a été un vrai plus, très appréciée par tout le monde, surtout en temps de canicule. L'environnement est agréable et calme, idéal pour se retrouver entre amis. Les échanges avec les propriétaires ont été simples, rapides et sympathiques. Nous recommandons ce gîte sans hésiter pour un séjour en groupe."

"Wow, what an amazing place. Beautiful old building, wonderful gardens, even a lake to walk around. Swimming pool, games room, good sized stylish bedrooms with lovely high ceilings. Quality breakfast. Would definitely return if visiting the area again."

"Stayed for 3 nights in October 2025. The stay was very pleasant. The room was comfortable, warm and clean. The hosts were very accommodating and done rverything to make my stay plesent. The property is in a very nice, remote, and quiet area. Chateaubriant is a ten minute drive away, with lots of nice restaurants. Dinner one evening was very plesent and good value for money. Would definitely return. "
