Secluded Cozy Luxurious Cabin, Gourmet Kitchen On 100 Acres W/ Miles Of Trails

Hello I'm Joe. if you're looking for a place to relax, hike, ski or just enjoy nature this is the perfect place. The cabin is nestled between two mountains up a 1/4 mile driveway very private.

With a rustic look on the exterior while the interior is very luxurious top of the line appliances, washer and dryer, spacious kitchen open to the living area for entertaining. A second-floor Deck with an outdoor jacuzzi The cabin has two bedrooms The lower level has two beds and the second floor bedroom has one bed and one pull out bed in the sectional sofa. The downstairs also has two lounging chairs in front of a wood stove and a covered front porch with couch and chairs.

We are close to Babcock state park, the New River for kayaking and fishing and only 45 minutes from Winterplace for excellent skiing. We are situated on 100 acres and next to the New River National Forest with miles of trails for hiking or riding ATV's or horses. This is also a great central location to enjoy many of the festivals in the area.

This is a rural area so you should bring your groceries. although there is dollar store that has some groceries a few miles up the road in Danese. Regular grocery stores Kroger, Food Lion, Walmart, are in Beckley. approximately 20 miles away.

Had many past places say it was secluded & wasn’t. This place definitely was secluded. Was a nice place to unplug but not to far to join the public (40 min drive). Walking in is surprising…. But main living is on the second floor. Very relaxing atmosphere. Was very clean. We usually don’t go to the same place twice but this property is on the list to revisit. Also feeding the horses was a nice touch.

Birthday getaway

This stay gave us everything we were looking for. I surprised my girlfriend with a bday trip. The drive to town felt short and the national park was where we spent most of our time. We plan on returning!

Getaway

We wanted a little cabin in the woods away from the public and this home away from away was the perfect place. This cabin is equipped with all the most modern kitchen equipment one could ask for. It’s a cozy little place for a couple or a family of four. And the home host is very receptive to any concerns you may have. So worth the drive and stay.

Peace & Quiet

We had an incredible visit last year that we came back! It's the perfect escape into nature. Our three dogs had the time of their lives exploring off-leash and swimming in the pond—it was truly dog heaven! We spent our days hiking through the woods and our evenings unwinding on the porch, taking in the peaceful sounds of nature. One of the highlights was stargazing under the crystal-clear night sky—absolutely magical. If you're looking for a peaceful, private getaway where you can truly disconnect, this place is it. Family get away

Took wife and both adult kids for a long weekend for my wife's birthday. Great time. Joe gives you full access to his little slice of heaven. No horses in December for us but tons of piece and quiet. Make the 10 mile drive to Babcock state forest. If you like tattoos get ahold of wolf sing ink in mt hope. 25 minute drive from cabin and this guy is top notch in the business. Joe we'll be back very soon.

Perfect, once again

This is our second stay and once again it was perfect. We were in town for a reunion and cabin is in the perfect location. Yard was being mowed when we arrived and the couple doing it were so nice. Once again, the cabin was spotless (obviously it had been thoroughly cleaned for us) We were 4 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us

Wonderful Stay! Absolutely Beautiful 😍

This property is stunning and has so much history! We didn’t even come close to exploring all the wonders this property has to offer. The cabin is so relaxing and has an amazing atmosphere and vibe. Stargazing is like no other, especially while relaxing in the hotub. The horses were a huge bonus and are yet another reason this cabin and property are a must. Thank you so much Joe!! You are so kind and we were so sad to leave your paradise. We will definitely be back!! Next time I will find the waterfall 😉

The most unique rental I have ever stayed. Loved everything about it!

Incredible scenery with cozy vibes. Truly the most unique rental I have stayed. Exactly what I wanted out of our stay. Great kitchen and upstairs area to relax and make your meals. I loved how the horses came right up to the front door! They were a great addition to the West Virginia feel. I would highly recommend this place. Joseph was quick to respond with any issues. I will definitely be coming back.

Perfect rustic escape

We originally were hoping for snow and cold but ended up getting mild warm weather. It ended up being perfect. We were able to hike, make a big camp fire, walk down to see the horses and paddled around in the canoe. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need. The sounds of the waterfalls and nature are very soothing. We will probably book this cabin again. We did struggle finding it at first but the directions from Joe were very good. Thanks Joe

Nice getaway!

The property was great with lots to explore. We didn’t see any horses! So maybe they were temporarily away, or they just stayed away from us because we had 2 big dogs. I enjoyed taking the canoe out in the pond to read and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. There was an AC window unit but it was not hooked up - so when we first arrived it was quite hot but ended up being no problem once we got windows opened up.

Perfect once again

This was our third visit and it was absolutely perfect once again. We were 2 adults and then my 2 young adult kids and they each had a friend. Plenty of space for all 6 of us. Property is great. Fishing in the pond, exploring the property, visiting with the awesome horses. So much to do We loved the addition to the deck. Had our morning coffee there every day Hot tub was great again The cabin was spotless once again (definitely just thoroughly cleans for us) and had everything you could possibly need for the perfect vacation Thank you Joe for sharing your awesome cabin with us. Dog gone fun!

My wife and I visit the Smokies every fall to hike but unfortunately dogs aren't allowed on the trails. We stumbled upon Joseph's cabin when searching for a place we could take them and more than a year later, we finally booked it for our anniversary weekend. It was peaceful having the place to ourselves and being able to have our 3 dogs off leash the whole time. They had a blast running the trails, playing in the streams, and swimming in the pond. They were exhausted! While they snoozed downstairs, we enjoyed ourselves in the spacious upstairs making dinner and relaxing on the large couch. After dark we kicked back in the hot tub and took in the clear night sky full of stars. Between the modern amenities, stocked kitchen, and Joseph checking in to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, it felt more like staying a family members house. Keep that in mind during your stay; this IS someones house, not some hotel. Take care of it and leave it in better condition than when you arrived. Joseph, thanks for sharing your home and we look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful Country Hideaway

This was definitely one of my favorite weekend getaways to date with the most amazing views of the WV country side.. The cabin was well kept, neatly organized & perfect for what we were searching.. Peace & relaxation.. Truly wonderful.. Joe was absolutely great! Had a few questions & was able to respond back within minutes.. Simple questions like, Hey Joe.. Would it be alright if we feed the horses some apples..lol! The guy was just absolutely awesome & seemed like the kinda guy I wouldn’t mind getting to know.. Definitely planning on returning again for a few days this summer or around the same time next year’ish.. Really thinking my youngest would enjoy the many adventures the property out here in the sticks has to offer with the pond, trails & or just hanging with the horses feeding ‘em & brushing their fur.. Definitely a great place for making memories along with many other things in the surrounding area to do.. Thank you Joe for giving us the opportunity to stay those couple of days at your cabin..
