Excellent stay

The stay was perfect. Magnificent view and pleasant pool. Very warm welcome from Evanot, who was very kind to our family. We enjoyed everything.

Rustic retreat

Very pretty setting, nice views of the ocean and forest, and so close to the beach and town. As described it is rustic and a bit rugged but had what we needed and we enjoyed being surrounded by nature. There is a lovely hike to Playa Madama right from the property. We loved the relaxed vibe of Las Galeras. Our host, Evanot, was very responsive and helpful.

2 charmantes villas authentiques dont l'accès se mérite.

Malgré un chemin d'accès un peu chaotique nécessitant un bonne voiture, ces deux villas jumelles avec une belle terrasse et une petite piscine ont un charme fou. Nous avons eu rendez-vous avec un jeune dominicain qui nous a indiqué le trajet depuis le commissariat. Le service est irréprochable, dès que nous avions un besoin ou une question, il était disponible pour venir ou nous envoyer quelqu'un et ce à n'importe quelle heure. La piscine est nettoyée une fois par semaine. Les chambres à l'étage ont chacune une terrasse avec une vue imprenable sur la mer. Nous n'en avons pas beaucoup profité car c'était trop dangereux pour notre fille de 2 ans. Comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos, les terrasses ne sont pas du tout sécurisées et un enfant pourrait tomber. Le jardin est bien entretenu et fleuri, avec bougainvilliers et ibiscus. Les espaces intérieurs sont plutôt propres mais il ne faut pas oublier que la nature est toute proche, donc n'ayez pas peur de rencontrer quelques amis comme des grenouilles, chauve-souris, colibris, moustiques, papillons, fourmis, serpents (inoffensifs)... Chaque fenêtre dispose de moustiquaires, ainsi que les lits. Au rez de chaussée, la villa de gauche possède une grande cuisine avec réfrigérateur et congélateur, très bien équipée. La villa de droite possède la buanderie, une petite cuisine avec un petit réfrigérateur, un espace avec un lit/canapé (où notre fille a dormi) et une table avec des chaises. Nous avons tout le temps mangé dehors, les soirées sont très agréables (avec l'anti-moustique!). Concernant le centre ville, il était en travaux lors de notre semaine de vacances donc peu accessible. Il y a très peu de commerces donc pensez à faire vos courses avant si possible. Le poisson frais est disponible dans les pescaderias en fin de journée, la viande est introuvable. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Las Galeras et avons profité de ses magnifiques plages : Playita accessible en voiture en 15 min avec un bon restaurant sur la plage, et une tout près des villas "Playa del Aserradero" Nous avons fait d'ailleurs l'excursion des 3 plages (Fronton, Madama, Rincon) avec "Sea and Sun excursion" au départ de cette plage, nous conseillons vivement (70$/pers avec repas et boissons)

J'ai l'impression que ça faisait longtemps qu'il n'y avait pas eu de vie dans cette demeure. Il y avait beaucoup d'excréments de lézard et de grenouille un peu partout (même sur les oreillers). Les lits n'étaient pas fait, il n'y avait pas de feu pour la cuisinette, pas de savon pour faire la vaisselle et des traces de moisissure sur les serviettes. La moitié des lumières ne fonctionnaient pas. Avec un peu d'amour, se lieu pourrait être paradisiaque. Probablement que le gentil propriétaire va faire des ajustements. La vue est à couper le souffle.
