"An unforgettable experience. We arrived more than two hours earlier than the scheduled checkin time, and was pleasantly surprised to find our room ready. The reception staff were very friendly and asked us if we needed help to carry our luggage to the room. We stayed in a premium igloo room. We found the room to be immaculately clean amidst incredibly beautiful surroundings. The heated floor and the constantly maintained temperature of 22 degrees C kept us comfortable throughout, while the outside temperature hovered between -16 deg C to -20 deg C. We had booked dinner while checking in, and were pleasantly surprised to be told that the main course was complimentary. Dinner was great with reasonably good choice of starters, mains, drinks and desserts. We tried some of the available Lappish delicacies. The cherry on top was the Northern Lights - we did not need to book any Northern Lights hunting tour. We witnessed this marvel of nature from the hotel itself - both out in the open and from within the warm igloo itself. Overall, a superb stay. Highly recommended! "

"We stayed in one of the cottages with a sauna. We loved it. Our cottage was right beside the Forrest. The cottage was lovely with cooking facilities. Market store at SCV made it easy to take a few meals instead of eating out always. We really enjoyed our stay, and loved our time in Lapland. Highly recommend!"

"Staff were extremely helpful. Breakast was super. We had a newly renovated room with a river view which was spectacular, and bunk beds which proved very popular. Location was perfect, close enough to everything but far enough away to feel like your not in the city...a lovely mix. Overall a fabulous stay. Would definitely recommend, "

"The room was good, staff are excellent. Only thing is that we didn't know that breakfast was include so miss out..The hotel is only about 10 minutes walk to town, where there is shops and restaurants and bus stop. Excellent location, will diffinately stay again."

"We had an excellent stay at Lapland Hotels Ounasvaara Chalets and everything exceeded our expectations. The staff kindly allowed us an early check-in at 12:30 PM, which was greatly appreciated and set a very positive tone for our stay. The overall environment and ambiance were outstanding—peaceful, well-designed, and perfectly aligned with the Lapland experience. The room quality was excellent, very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We were especially impressed by the thoughtful details for families; providing sleds for children was a wonderful touch and made our stay even more enjoyable. As a very minor suggestion for improvement: we stayed in Room 21, and in the sauna, there seemed to be some heat loss from the lower section, so the temperature was not as warm as expected. This is a small detail and did not affect our overall satisfaction. Overall, everything was perfect, and we would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit. Highly recommended."

"We had a lovely one night stay here in Jan 2026. Its a really good base, perfectly located in the city centre, easy walking distance to anywhere including most activity pickups. The buffet breakfast was really good and had everything you could want. We had dinner in the Bull Bar & Grill downstairs which had a really nice atmosphere, and very convenient as its just downstairs in the hotel, so you dont have to go outside! We had a burger and ribs and both were really good. The lounge area by reception is really tastefully done, and we enjoyed sitting there a few times enjoying the comfy seating and free flavoured water / blueberry juice. Our room was a little small (not much space to put suitcases/unpack) but the beds were comfortable, and a nice bathroom. Would happily stay there again."
