「The room was fine, well cleaned and the staff was helpful there were several lights that didn't work and the tub drain was very slow. the A/C worked good and the meal was okay. we would stay there again」

Don't skip the history of the area and home in the welcome notebook. We fell in love with the Crab Orchard Stone on the house. 「They didn't have the suite we originally reserved so we had to split into two rooms and the water was brown coming out in the bathtubs of both rooms. The room smelled like smoke even though it was a no-smoke room. They were kind and did move us rooms but the breakfast was also very lacking. There was only cereal and waffles-no bit of protein whatsoever.」

「Any time you stay at a Hampton Inn and Suites you are at the best there is!」

「It was a cut and dry stop, but the Non-Smoking room had a musty smoke smell as if it was at one point a smoking room. We aired out the room and slept fine but it took a bit to get used to the smell.」

「AVOID AT ALL COSTS! First, the man in front of me had to hand over a $100 bill at check in for the security deposit. Then, when I checked in through Expedia, they swiped my card and actually deducted $80 from my account (I use Expedia all the time and never is an amount deducted). The desk attendant assured me I’d have it back the next day. Now, the amount is no longer pending…it’s processed and I’ve been told it could be more than a week before it’s returned! They took it instantly but...

「I didn’t stay. After seeing 2 of the rooms and noticing how terrible they smelled and how dirty they were I never checked in. The hotel showed a 7.4 on the Expedia site but that hotel should not have even been a zero. I will dispute the “no show” charge if it appears on my credit card bill.」

「The staff are wonderful. The elevator & hallways could be kept cleaner. The breakfast was hot, lots of variety & the breakfast area was clean. Daily housekeeping has to be requested. The room was clean, but the hotel shows some age. I do not think it was a $200 a night hotel, but I had to stay there due to a family event so that’s what I had to pay. 」
