This beautiful lakefront home is located on Bald Mt Lake inside the gated Rumbling Bald community. BALD MT LAKE, A PRIVATE, NON-MOTORIZED LAKE, IS USEABLE FOR RECREATIONAL USE IN 2025. Come to Family Lake House as a peaceful retreat and “home base” for visiting nearby towns, area restaurants/attractions in Lake Lure, Hendersonville & Asheville now open. There's public golf at Rumbling Bald & other amenities such as indoor/outdoor pools, fitness room, special events. There are area wineries, breweries, music, trails, waterfalls, and more within an hour's drive of Lake Lure. Saluda, Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Brevard are great day-trip destinations. By choosing to visit, you’re supporting the local businesses of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Western NC.
Family Lake House is located inside the Rumbling Bald community at the north end of Lake Lure. The house is designed to comfortably handle large gatherings of family and friends with 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. It is set on beautiful Bald Mountain Lake as your very own playground. This private, non-motorized lake inside the Rumbling Bald, is perfect for swimming, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, fishing, and floats (motorized vehicles are not allowed on this lake).
ENTRY LEVEL: A large open kitchen and adjoining dining area insure you'll have plenty of room to enjoy preparing meals and eating together with seating for 16. Coffee and Wine Bar, two wall ovens, two dishwashers, toaster oven, microwave, and an ice machine. The kitchen and dining area open to a large living room that boasts gorgeous mountain views and a wood burning, stone fireplace for warmth and ambiance in late fall and winter and a 65 " flat screen TV that streams media via Roku and Sonos SoundBar and Sub.
The covered upper deck seats 8 at the table , 55" Roku streaming Smart TV additional Adirondack chairs for viewing the lake or TV.

UPPER LEVEL: Our bunk room is perfect for cousin sleepovers and has a 60" TV which streams Roku and connected to a blu ray player for movie watching. 2 bunk beds with Queen on the lower and twin above.
Separate queen Bedroom with Full Jack and Jill bathroom connected to the Bunk Room. Additional Queen Bed with ensuite Full Bathroom
LOWER LEVEL: Kitchenette with second full size fridge and coffee bar. TV and movie watching is enhanced in the media room with a Sonos SoundBar and Sub and in the media room with a 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos surround system and is connected to a blu ray player, 65" UDH TV

12 Guest passes are provided giving access to amenities at Rumbling Bald., they are available at the front desk of Legends. Pick up hours seasonal. There will be additional charges for some amenities,

Wonderful stay

This was our yearly stay at Rumbling Bald resort and this home met all our expectations and more. Beautiful home on the water and being inside the resorts gates, gave us access to all the resort had to offer. This home is fully stocked with all you need for your stay. My family would highly recommend it if your are looking for a great mountain retreat.

Family Reunion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We gathered here at Lake Lure to celebrate our 55 Wedding Anniversary. This house was beautiful and perfect for our family of 13. The location was great! Hiking, swimming, golf and pickleball.. Bald Lake is peaceful and fun for everyone. The Lilly Pad was a big hit especially with the grandkids.The property was well maintained. Unfortunately we waited 1 & 1/2 hours to enter the property since the previous renters didn’t leave on time. I would suggest that more chairs be placed at the lake deck. There was only 1 to sit in. 51 steps from the lower level of the house.We did have some glitches I think due to transition to new owners. We also had a water issue due to a line break a few doors away. No fault of the owners or management but We had to make a trip to the store to get a water supply. After this the manager did step in to get water for us. We were on boiled water for 3 days.Even though this was a great inconvenience I do not hesitate to recommend this home. We couldn’t have asked for a better accommodations for our family..

The property description was accurate regarding the location, layout, and amenities.It was very clean and well-maintained.The property manager provided excellent customer service.While in the area we rented a golf cart at the center at the bottom of the hill for easy getting around the gated community. We enjoyed trips to see Chimney Rock nearby, and took a day-trip into Asheville to explore some local breweries and restaurants. All-in-all, it was a great stay and I'd highly recommend this spot.

We had a large group of family stay at this home and would highly recommend it. The layout was great for our group with multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. The view was beautiful, we would have loved to stay longer! Thank you!

Best Mountain Lake House EVER!!!

This house had everything you could need for a family vacation. We all had space to spread out as well as spaces to enjoy together. Everything was well appointed, stocked and super clean. The host is accommodating and friendly. The home is beautifully decorated and has anything and everything you could need during your stay. We can't wait to come back again soon.

The kitchen was perfect for lots of family meals and 2 dishwashers meant never seeing dirty dishes. The property management company was responsive and communication was great. General cleaning (vent hood) and typical homeowner maintenance seemed to be lacking a bit -- blown seals on windows, rust on the stainless, etc.

A little slice of heaven

Our large group had plenty of room to enjoy the long Memorial Day weekend and not get sick of each other! The SUP and kayaks were a hit with all ages and the amenities were a bonus. The property manager was extremely helpful and so great to work with. We will be back next Memorial Day weekend for sure, the kids want to make it an annual trip and were teary eyed when we had to leave!

Relaxing and enjoyable vacation stay.

This is a great house to stay with family! It’s very beautiful inside and yet comfortable. From the covered decks, it has a wonderful view of the mountains and lake. It’s large and really well stocked with kitchen needs, gas grill, paddle boards, float pad, and life vests. It’s right on the lake with quick access to the Rumbling Bald beach, pools, tennis courts, golf and miniature golf. Our family ranked it #1 of all the spots we have ever rented! We’re definitely planning to return!

Family Reflections

Five kids now grown with spouses stayed at this gorgeous property. The views were lovely on both porches and the service in the lodge supported my brother well. He’d had a stroke so stairs were troublesome and Lake Lure has a full bedroom on the main floor. The quiet outdoors was most appreciated!
