Atlantic View Motel and Cottages

"We were planning to stay for two days, but the bed was so hard. It was like sleeping on concrete since it was so busy in town. We had to go to a different town and look for a hotel with a better bed with the help of the local visitor information center we found a good place and thankfully the owners of the Atlantic view hotel gave us a refund for the second night. They didn’t have to, but they did and we appreciated that. the room itself is pleasant enough, but the chairs are hard. The little sofa is hard. Nothing was comfortable to sit on and it’s very outdated. I wouldn’t call it quaint. It’s just outdated. It’s in a pleasant very centrally, located part of town close to everything we need so anything was a very short drive. We did appreciate that. We drove in town of Hubbard’s, which was about a 30 minute drive for our second hotel so we couldn’t spend the night in the original town that we wanted to."
Rum Runner Inn

"The property was in a great location, central to the nearby harbour, restaurants etc…and the covered balcony, but open in the front was a wonderful place to watch the harbour and people. The Rum Runner is a very quiet and central place."
Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre

"We liked the proximity of the resort to the marina, where we took a Salty Dog tour of Oak Island. We both enjoyed the meal we had at the onsite restaurant. The only complaint would be the several stairs we had to take along with our luggage to get to our room."

Miller House By the Bay

"The owner is very personable and helpful. We stayed in the separate lodging on the property, not in the house. We had a very spacious upstairs room. Note, the breakfast is not included for stays in the separate building. Highly recommended ."

Black Forest Cabins

"We enjoyed staying at the Black Forest Cabins. It was close to everything, and walkable to the waterfront. We stayed 2 nights, so we could also visit Lunenburg, and drive right back. Great restaurants close by, and we also took advantage of the walking trails nearby. Beautiful location in the forest with deer nearby. Thank you!"
