"The draw for us was to stay in the old house, and it was worth it. The room is very spacious. But the best thing was the staff, they were extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was great, made to accommodate a gluten and dairy allergy, both days the breakfast was delicious!
The steps up to the bedroom are very steep, be careful if you are older or have young kids."

The staff of the hostel was fantastic: very welcoming and helpful. The house is cozy and an excellent experience in a traditional Japanese house. I ate in a very good seafood restaurant very close by.

I stayed at this hotel expecting a simple and comfortable experience, which was mostly the case in terms of the room and overall cleanliness.
However, the breakfast experience was very disappointing. During my stay, a large group (a youth baseball team) was using the breakfast area at the same time. The space became extremely crowded, with a long line forming, making it practically impossible for other guests to access the food.
As a result, I was unable to have breakfast at all.

I absolutely loved our stay here. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were absolutely fantastic, the food from the restaurant was incredible, and the area around the hotel was beautiful and exciting to explore. Unfortunately, I didn't have an opportunity to use the public bath facility, so I can't say anything about that.
Just to note, only a few of the staff speak English so basic Japanese skills would be recommended. The station is a 20 minute walk from the hotel, so keep that in mind...

This hotel was very nice! While the room I picked was rather small, it was the perfect place to sleep while exploring the area. I love how close it was to such a big mall & many restaurant choices. Also about a 15 minute walk from the train station, or if you drive they do provide parking passes! Would 100% recommend :)
