"Most areas are non air conditioned lobby, restaurant, room wash rooms etc . Makes for lots of mosquitos and bugs . Would not recommend for the high price . No TV in room and lots of walking to restaurant etc . Restaurant doesn’t have many options."

"Had a really wonderful stay at Vivanta Kochi Aluva. The hotel staff was extremely polite, cooperative, and professional throughout our stay. They understood our concerns very well and were always proactive in helping and maintaining cleanliness. Rooms and overall hotel ambience were excellent, neat, and comfortable. "The hospitality, housekeeping and general staff were excellent. This Taj is not a 5 star property. As much as one can appreciate its history, it is a dated property, yet it sits in the middle of a bird sanctuary. Be aware, the luxury villas have bathrooms that are open air. They do not have AC! This is most uncomfortable in a tropical climate. The hairdryer is attached to the wall making it impossible to dry your hair in a cool environment. This is not my idea of 5 star."
