Great location. Beautiful room, amazing pool and awesome breakfast buffet. The staff were excellent. The main issue was with hot water in our room. It had to be repaired twice during our three night stay after the entire family had already had cold showers.

Great location. Needs up keeping. Showers and restroom - not 5 star quality. Reception- needs more people besides 2 and needs better uniforms. Breakfast buffet is a 3 star quality- not 5 star. Also- it is only vegetarian- nothing else. Only good thing about hotel is great location next to mall and close to jalan alor street food. Great location- but the rest is not good. Not deserving of 5 star rating for a hotel.

Perfect hotel for shopping

Enjoyed our stay. Hotel is very clean with friendly staff. We were upgraded to a premium room. Location is great too, connected to a shopping mall and also food was excellent. Only issue we had was the AC was noisy and stopped working on first day however this was fixed straight away. We will definitely come back again.

Excellent Stay at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kual

My recent stay at Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur was fantastic. The spacious rooms were immaculately clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Being adjacent to a shopping mall made everything incredibly convenient. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay in Kuala Lumpur!

Room was hugh and nice. Hotel is well situated around eateries and shopping centres. Air conditioning was defective despite after technician attending. Fortunately Mr Ridzuan (Duty Manager) very quickly responded to my request for provision of fans. Hotel needs to improve on customer support (reply to booking request)

The hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly The room was spacious and very clean , Poole area was nice The problem with the pool area is the hotel doesn’t supply towels so you have to bring the room ones and the the Sunna and steam rooms are not supervised with no towels provided , we’re turned off when we visited so had to get them put on by staff , no drinking water and whole place was very bare

This is a huge hotel. We found that the amenities were not big enough to accommodate the large number of people staying there. We tried to have breakfast and after navigating the hundreds of others getting breakfast there was no where to sit. We tried to go to the pool and again, no where to sit due to the number of people there. We needed to leave our bags for a few hours… it took over 30 minutes of waiting in line to drop them off and over 45 minutes to pick them both up. It is a nice place but really not worth the hassle on all fronts.

Overall ok experience. Accessible to shopping malls and KL. Bathtub was not working properly and wasted money buying bath bars. Door to the toilet looked broken. We had sent our clothes for laundry only to find out that it would only be ready after our check out date. Much thanks to the staff for accommodating and expediting the process. Would not mind coming back to the property.

Not clean at all. The sinks was dirty and moldy. We came back from our day and there was a water leak from the bathroom ceiling. The staff put towels on the floor but it did not get fixed until we went down and complained about it. Decor was old. Staff was friendly. The lobby was nice and welcoming. However, the room was a nightmare. Do not recommend.

We got upgraded 2 levels called something like "club" because they they didnt have the 2 large single beds (premium) that we had booked long ago. We checked-in early in the morning but the room was not ready. They said to come around 2:30 pm -.3:00 pm, so we came then and we were disappointed that we cannot get the 2 beds we requested. We thought the free upgrade will give us the good size beds but that was not the case although everything was nice except the beds were still too small in sizes. One of the important reasons why we booked this hotel was because we wanted to have good rest and sleep in our 2 beds premium sizes, but that did not happen, unfortunately.

COCKROACHES, beware! We had the most terrible experience at Berjaya. We left after one night even though we had booked 5 nights. First, the service was terrible. We had to take up our own luggage to the room and staff were dismissive. Second, the towels were very dirty. One towel had a big brown stain on it, that definitely looked like a poop stain. And worst of all, there were cockroaches in the bathroom! Literally coming out of the sink/drain. It was disgusting. When we complained, they said they’d give us an upgraded room but we’d have to pay extra. You make your guests pay extra after they’ve found cockroaches in their bathroom? What kind of service is this? Overall, I do not recommend this hotel at all. If you want a similar location there are plenty of other, better, cockroach-free hotels.

This grand old lady is now just OLD.

Was very disappointed with this hotel from the word go despite having a fantastic stay here over a decade ago. The room i had was old, very shabby, the air con was faulty, the bathroom sink was rimmed with mould, the toilet stopped flushing, the sheets had food stains, the lobby was outdated and it was as hot and stuffy as the elevators. We booked 4 rooms and one friend had no air con her room was a furnace and completely lost power so had terrible first night so they kindly upgraded her. Same thing happened to me the next night, was told by the maintenance man at 11pm i needed to move, pack my stuff and await a call from reception so hurriedly stuffed everything into cases but by 3am still hadnt heard a thing and was told they had no idea about situation. Had to go down myself after a restless night and told i couldnt get a new room until after 12 .They kindly upgraded me too so very happy to have air con but new room was very nice in comparison with old one but very basic except for the great walk in wardrobe.This is NOT a 5 star hotel anymore, once renovations are complete it will be a decent 3 star business hotel with an amazing pool. Very sad to see its decline but the staff were LOVELY and really tried their best. Ensure you request a room from lvl 28 down, every above is unrenovated. Still a great pool but Room service all vegetarian which is fine but no longer 24 hr and i missed my 1am club sandwich! Hope the future is brighter here. Thank you to the great staff x

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience during my stay. At check-in, I provided my debit card, unaware that it would be charged immediately. Unfortunately, this was not clearly communicated to me by your front desk staff. I only found out about the deduction and the refund process, which takes up to a week, during check-out. This was a frustrating and unexpected surprise. What made the situation worse was the unprofessional behavior of the staff during check-out. The lady attending to me giggled and condescendingly told me I should have used a credit card. This came across as both insensitive and disrespectful. I was made to feel embarrassed for something that should have been clearly explained at check-in. I have stayed at Berjaya properties before and never faced such issues. This experience was a major letdown and does not reflect the level of service I have come to expect. Additionally, I do not understand why the refund process takes a week, especially when refunds on card terminals (including NETS or credit cards) can be processed immediately. This delay is inconvenient and unnecessary. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and ensure better communication by front desk staff at check-in, more professionalism and empathy from your team, and a review of the refund process timeline for debit card payments. I am now waiting for my refund. If it is not processed as stated, I will escalate this matter further to higher management.
