A rural hill country road in Sri Lanka. Either side is fully covered by tea plantations. If you are interested in hunting waterfalls, you must have to go through these roads. But, access by vehicle is not easy and walking is the best way to reach waterfalls.
It is a must for you to get the guidance of a local as these areas are rarely populated.
After a walk of 3km through the rain forest ,finally, we reached to the upper cascade of Ramboda. The water of Kothmala river falls down from a height of 109m to form this beautiful waterfall.

There are 6 waterfalls in Ramboda and Thawalamthenna. Altogether, we walked 32km in order to see all the six waterfalls and amazing wildlife of the rain forests.
This is the Punaoya Falls, where we reached easily than all other six waterfalls. And also, anyone can have a close look to this waterfall from the Nuwara Eliya-Peradeniya main road.

Just before you enter into the Ramboda tunnel, you can see this eye-catching creation of nature. If you go closer, you must be careful as the rocks are too slippery.
