We have tried different dishes from most of the food stalls and feel this one has the best quality, consistency, taste and price. They make a great Tom Khai Kai, Pad Se-eew Goong and Pad Thai(no tofu at it is dried out). Enjoy. #market

Nice resort in quiet location

Nice resort with pool, bar-restaurant service. A bit far from the center, renting a bike is advised. Not really access to the beach during the day with the tide

Hotel comodo sul mare vicino a tutti i servizi ma lontano dal caos. Ottima cucina personale disponibile. Mare bello unico inconveniente una secca totale la mattina. Tornerei in questo hotel.

A little Paradise

We had a nice stay and the staff and owner are wonderful. The location is great close to restaurants, money exchange, shopping etc. The breakfast choices were great and really delicious. The views on the water and the pool are really nice. We wanted to extend our stay but they were booked and when we checked out I left my purse at the hotel. When we called them to see my purse was there, they had it and everything was in it. Very honest and wonderful.

Peace and quiet on the beach

Nice out of the way resort. Pricing just a tad high for off season but the facility was welcoming and relaxing. I would certainly stay here again. Lovely food in restaurant at very reasonable pricing. If you want to drink with crazy Stefan the owner - you had better learn French... his English is hopeless... he is a funny man. The housekeeping staff are fantastic and will help all they can. Nothing was a bother.

close to beach

mattress was on a concrete block so was like a brick to sleep on. Half the deck chairs are rusted out and broken but the worst part was around the kids pool it was all broken and so dangerous 2 little ones fell in it. We were the only Aussies so good for French people

Ruhig gelegen

Schöne Anlage mit gepflegten Gärten und sauberem Pool. Zimmer ausreichend groß und sauber. Direkt am Wasser, aber ohne Strand, da Beton-Mole. Während unseres Aufenthaltes waren die Strandabschnitte in der Umgebung sehr vermüllt, vermutlich durch vorangegangenen Sturm. 5 oder 6 Wahlmöglichkeiten beim Frühstück, die aber je nach Personal unterschiedlich serviert werden: Mal mit zwei, mal mit einer Scheibe Toast, mal ganz ohne... Etwas abgelegen ganz im Norden des Chaweng Beach, daher zu Fuß nicht all zu viel zu erleben. Aber unkomplizierte Roller-Miete durch das Hotel organisiert, was für diesen Standort sehr zu empfehlen ist! Wir haben unseren Zimmerschlüssel inkl. Anhänger mit Hotelnamen und Zimmernummer verloren. Das Schloss zum Zimmer wurde innerhalb einer halben Stunde getauscht - zu geringen Kosten (< 15€).

Over all a good place to stay at – You get what you pay for. This place is located right at the beach – good to know: If you have small children- that when it is flood tide the beach disappears and it gets rather difficult to swim in the ocean. We stayed for two days before we traveled to Kog Pagnang in a connecting bungalow (Two adults and two children 4 & 8 years of age) is nice, good space, good size of the rooms, the connecting bungalows is located in the back of the garden – The pool area at this hotel is nice – close to the beach. The restaurant is okay (But very expensive – compare to the standard you get), the staff are okay, the surroundings are okay. This place is in walking distance to some “good” restaurants. This place suites people who want to live within 5 - 10 minutes by taxi to Chaweng. The price at this French hotel compare to what you get is rather good.

We were upgraded (always a pleasant gesture) from the base level room to their mid level room, which meant that our room was split level. The bed is up some very steep stairs in a loft above the bathroom. It's all rather quaint. The design is original, with patterned stone work in the bathroom and copious Thai artworks around the room (I think I counted 12 pieces of different 'art' in total, counting the elephant carving on the wardrobe). The room was comfortable enough and pleasant (hard bed though). We had a problem with the air con. It rattled, so on the first morning I asked for it to be fixed. The maintenance man found that the cover didn't rattle if it was pushed out from the wall a little so he got some polystyrene to use as a plug to push it out. Not quite a repair, but it worked. I had to add a little folded paper later during the week when it started rattling again. No biggy. The hotel is at the furthest end of Chaweng beach. You can walk back along the beach to central Chaweng (say where the Ark Bar is) in about half an hour, though there is no actual beach in front of Papillon, so you need to walk in the water for 100 metres first. At low tide, this is only up to your ankles. At high tide, to your thighs. Otherwise it's a 100 Baht tuk tuk into the centre. The food isn't great, but there is plenty elsewhere.

Stayed in sea front bungalow...which had kids pool right outside of it.. :) this place is a small special place. Great location and close enough to big nightlife but far enough to relax .... Your choice! A true icon...

Terrible place with poor service , on my first night I asked reception where would be a good ace to go at 930 and was told to go back to my room . The place is dated and overgrown and Not maintained . I checked out five days early and went elsewhere

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt mit der Familie. Sehr nettes Personal. Die Restaurantpreise sind relativ hoch, aber ein kleiner Spaziergang am Strand lohnt sich, um nett zu essen. Die Aussicht und die Umgebung sind schon einzigartig. Perfekt für Ruhesuchende. Ansonsten ist man nach 10 Minuten Fahrt im Zentrum des Geschehens.
