Best place to stay in Koh Lanta!

We really enjoyed our time in Koh Lanta, and the Long Beach Chalet was incredible. While we did leave the resort for some activities, you could easily stay here and have everything you need. Amazing breakfast, massage services, pools, and location on the beach. Lym’s restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We really loved our stay here!

Long Beach Chalet was the best part of our trip to Thailand. The beach was amazing, the entertainment was fun and the food was very good. The breakfast was amazing. The reception could work on their friendliness but all in all I highly recommend. We didn’t want to leave.

Great stay for the price

Amazing hotel on the beach with everything you need. The on site restaurant, not owned by the hotel, had mediocre food. The hotel itself was clean, nice pool, great cafe and buffet breakfast.

Perfect location on an amazing beach for a quiet relaxing time. Room was great and had everything you needed. The breakfast was the best we have had since we have been in Thailand. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby. This should be a 5 star property!

Eco-friendly and family-friendly beach resort

Very eco-and family-friendly beach resort with many amenities. Most of the guests have young children. Pristine, sandy beach with clear, calm water. Lots of comfortable chase lounges on the beach in the shade. Included breakfast has a wide and delicious assortment. Restaurant service is OK-very slow. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The resort is walking distance to tons of restaurants and easy to catch a ride anywhere.

We enjoyed are stay at the property, but found certain areas untidy ,although there was signs stating that towels would be removed from sun beds that are not in use this never happened, so this limted the beds during the day. The food during the day was good, staff where polite.

Perfect

A perfect stay during our honeymoon! We had a sea view villa for the first 3 nights and then extended our stay in the garden loft. The villa was absolutely perfect, complimentary soft drinks and snacks and right next to the beach with lots of loungers. Breakfast plentiful and cocktails good from Lym’s Bar (have a look at the happy hour menu, not advertised great but you’ll find it on the bar). Restaurants nearby and a 7/11 10 minute walk away. The perfect way to end our trip to Thailand. We didn’t want to leave!

This is a really beautiful property. The seaside bungalow was very nice. Super comfy bed, big bathroom with all the toiletries you would need, and a few complimentary drinks in the fridge, tea, coffee. I appreciated the tv had Netflix access for the rainy days. It was nice they have loungers and beach towels for the guests. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I ordered room service several times and the food was good. My favorite was Lym’s burger. I booked transportation back to Ao Nang through them as well and it was a smooth process. Thank you

Resort right on the water. Very nice property w solid staff, food and amenities. I was very disappointed to find the significant amount of pollution on the beach. That said, it wasn’t the fault of the resort and there was a very strong and concerted efforts to clean beach each morning after the nights tide left its deposit. Great breakfast spread and omelette station on the morning. Great menu w lots of options. Very safe and comfortable place to be where you can hear the waves everywhere on the property and see the waves from most places on property. Would happily return and recommend.

This hotel was amazing! I stayed with my husband, mother, and best friend. We booked 2 sea view villas, one for my husband and I and one for my mum and best friend. The villas themselves were outstanding - wonderful soft big beds and pillows, great bathroom with excellent water pressure, great air conditioning, mini fridge to store drinks in and nice patio seating right outside to enjoy the view of the oven. We got the breakfast included option and were treated to a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning which was a bonus. Short distance by taxi or tuk tuk to the walking street and other restaurants. My husband walked into town nearly everyday to visit some local food spots for lunch and enjoyed the walk. During our stay we booked 2 excursions through the hotel - an all day snorkeling excursion and an elephant sanctuary experience. Both were amazing!! Would recommend the elephant sanctuary to absolutely everyone. The beach was beautiful and the water was great. Barely anyone on the beach - very easy to find a chair or spread out a towel in the sun. It was jellyfish season, so there were a few washed up jellyfish on the sand but we were not afraid at all. My husband got lightly stung on his stomach but it went away within the day. If you are scared or have small children that would be scared maybe just be cautious. Night time there were a few sand flies - we all got bit quite a bit but we didn’t think to bring insect repellent so it was our fault. Still super nice!!

Excellent overall, but a few weak suits

Recently spent four nights at Long Beach Chalet and, overall, completely understand why it gets such positive reviews. The beautiful beach front setting is idyllic (and a nice combination of sun and tree shade), the grounds in general invite complete relaxation, the room was beautiful, clean and well-appointed, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We fell short of a five-star review because: 1) Before arriving, we were under the impression that it was a full-service operation with regards to tours, etc., but we were basically handed a binder with outside options to look into ourselves. We could, and did, but it was a bit disappointing and surprising. 2) While the food was excellent, the service at Lym's was sub-par in terms of excessive wait times (even when not busy) and friendliness. Definitely not typical Thai warmth and hospitality from our experience. The tone seemed to have been set by the SV there at the time and was probably the least welcoming and attentive service we experienced in Thailand. Maybe we were just there at an off time, but we ended up eating off-premises a lot. 3) The pool, while nice, was full of kids the entire visit, making it an unattractive option for adults. Of course kids have as much right as anyone to be there, but some adult-only hours would go a long way. 4) The massage pavilion is right on top of too much activity and noise. Plenty of room elsewhere on the grounds for a more peaceful setting. All in all though, great place!
