"The onsen was fantastic, so were the restaurants. We ran into several language issues so best to go with a local or if you can speak the language - there are a small handful of staff who could speak English but otherwise, it was usually a comical scene of chickens talking to ducks :) There are free shuttle pick ups from Sakunami station - the trains run hourly from Sendai station so you can be sure of a yellow bus waiting for you when you get off. I believe there is also ONE daily pick up...

"良くも悪くも、この地方のバブル期の感じの宿でした。 サービスは一般的な他の宿の数段上ですが… それじゃない感が… 料理も美味しく、素人目に見てもいい素材を使ってます。 隠し包丁を入れずに箸で切れる牛タンとか久しぶりに食べました。 祝い事での利用でしたが、子供も多くいたので騒がしい中、スタッフの方々は良くして頂きました。 露天付き客室の雰囲気も良かったので、今回のような(子供が多く、足の不自由な人もいる)使い方であれば非常に良かったと思います。 カップルには向かないかな？"

The advertisement said we would have a buffet breakfast but instead they served us breakfast in the room next door to us - which was beautiful and very nice. However we had the choice of 7:30 am or an 8 am breakfast, so if you want to sleep later don't order breakfast. My husband needed to stay until 12 noon for an online meeting, but check-out time is 10 am. They charged us 3000 yen to stay an two extra...
