It’s right outside Edinburgh so you don’t have to pay ridiculous prices but you also don’t have to drive far to get to city center plus you are getting a much nicer hotel for less and to me that’s always a plus.

"The breakfast options each morning were delicious. Highly recommend enjoying the on site Metro restaurant as well. I did not like the shower set up. The large step up into the shower and subsequent large step down were very dangerous. On a minor note, the pillows were extremely uncomfortable."

"Best part is the location in the city excellent . It is a heritage building so lots of steps to navigate with luggage . Not very silent either as floor creak as old heritage building . Also noisy , rooms are comfortable staff is good as well ."

If you are traveling by car, it's worth to stay in this beautiful hotel outside of Edinburg and just take a bus/train into the city.
