"Room was clean when we arrived but a lot of bull ants in there, we had to spray insect repellent everyday to keep them out. Manager kept asking about payment for 2 rooms that were booked December 25 and fully paid for, there were 4 of us and I had booked rooms above the pool, we were the only people there but we were given different rooms because the staff had the pool view room. "Yala Chalets were a great choice for visiting the Yala Safari Park. It was very a quiet location with a great pool. The property is isolated though but offers all meals at a very reasonable cost. The rooms offer comfort & have a rare find of a fridge. We would recommend to other travellers. Great staff who give much attention."

"My parents were there to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and although we celebrated a little late, they had such a wonderful experience. Quoting my dad “The birthday arrangement was beautiful, the cake was lovely, and the famous DoubleTree cookie was the best. The breakfast and dinner buffets were both excellent, and the amenities were exceptional.” What really stood out to them was the warmth and attention to detail throughout their stay. My mum still can’t stop complimenting the food; my parents have travelled all around Sri Lanka and tried many different cuisines, so coming from them, that is actually really huge to hear! Next time I’m in Lanka, I already know where my first stop will be. 10/10 for such a great stay!"

"It was a great stay. Different experience but great. Near to the Yala National Park and very nice place in contact with nature and the best... they offered evening and night walks which was amazing. Lovely PLace. It is a MUST!!! They also offer the safari tour to Yala National Park and it was AMAZING!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this property. I cannot think of anything we did not like. The location is beautiful, the room was fantastic, the food amazing (quality, variety and presentation), and the staff kind, professional, and efficient. We were welcomed and sent on our way by Dilshan. All waiters at the restaurant were wonderful but we would especially like to acknowledge the service of Chinthaka. We had great fun on our 4 safari tours with our excellent guide Yesi. We saw leopards, elephants, jackal, and many many beautiful birds. Yesi was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot.We have traveled all over the world - this will be a place to remember."

"We were the only guests in this sprawling property within the buffer zone of the Yala National park. The BBQ dinner under the stars was worth remembering. The whole property kept the entire electric generation system running for only 2 guests. The air conditioning was perfect and the view from above the canopy was very good. Mention must be made of Patisa and his team. The chef was wonderful with his breakfast and dinner. A great stay. Never felt unsafe as were the only guest on the day."
