「Big house with great sized rooms and plenty space for our 15 adults and 5 children. Hot tub was great. Living space/bar area very roomy and open. The owners were very flexible with the Sunday checkout times which was nice of them. The kitchen is a professional kitchen (for the weekday BnB purpose I guess) so not quite the social space that you're used to in a more traditional house. One of the bedrooms does have a particularly un-private toilet in it, which may trouble some people. But overall,...

「Internally the property was as photographed however after phoning the first morning to let management know there was a fly issue- some bug spray would be helpful so our food prep would be easier ,there was giant hogweed down the access path making access dangerous for me as a cancer patient as it is a highly toxic plant ...the garden had not had the grass cut in a very long time making it not useable -and no hot water was the icing on the cake ....nothing was rectified they said they would be...

「Really enjoyed our long weekend here. Good spot in the countryside while obly being a short walk from the lub and short drive from Kendal and lots of natoional trust properties. Plenty warm enough. Only just had 6 sets of kitchenware so felt we were constantly washing up, which was the obly minor downside. 」

「Annexe to owner's house. We made the best of our stay, travelled around the lakes & enjoyed the hot tub. Property is clean and tidy. 「Millbrook Lodge is a lovely house - it has everything you want and more from a holiday home. We did have an issue with a beeping smoke alarm which unfortunately did not get resolved while we were there which is why I cannot give it a 5 star review.」
